I was speeding through the suitless samus sequence when I had to go somewhere. So I left my GBASP in sleep mode for about 2hr. When I started playing again, i got through the chozo guardian fight and was about to get the energy tank in that vertical shaft 2 rooms after. Just as the shinespark reached the room with the tank, the game just stopped. The screen was black from the room transition but you could still see the energy/missile. The sound kept repeating itself with the buzzing crash noise. After 2 min of waiting i turned it off. I had to start from tourian  :( .
Did anyone else experience crashed in ZM?
Thread title:
Heh, when I read the title I thought you were talking about Metroid Prime.

ZM has never crashed for me. Maybe your cart is dirty? Or maybe sleep mode broke it.
lol no way
Yeah, I've... never had mzm crash either. Which doesn't mean it's impossible by any means, it could easily be dirty or just poorly handled. Nothing is implied by that statement (I'd be the last person to claim that I treat my games and their systems... properly), just that there's no doubt that it happens.
The cart is only 6 months olds and its in great condition. maybe it was the system's fault. Leaving it on power saving mode for a long time might have deteriorated it.
That's an odd one. I've never heard of either MZM or Fusion ever crashing, only the Primes. Sometimes if older handhelds are just left by themselves they crash. How old is the console?
I've only had it since last December so its only 1 year old.
That seems fairly new....it's usually only the GB and GBC that did it as well....odd.

That M2k2 guy
My GBASP's in relatively poor condition, but nothing like that has happened for me. Was the cartridge adjusted or anything like that? It might have been loaded most of the way and just shook loose or something.
Normally the cartrides in SP's are quite tightly-fitted, but there is still a chance they can get knocked downwards into the cartridge slot, which would cause a freeze.

Honestly, it's just a sheer fluke. Unless it starts happening again, there's probably not any "cause" to go looking for. It's just annoying.

I'm looking at you, Pokemon XD. Mt. Battle can get tedious enough without you making me restart an area.
I have never crashed this game, but I have crashed Fusion several times, 2 without AR. The first was when I tried to shinespark in the ship room, and the second when I SA'd all of the Proto-Metroid-Globby things at once in that long corridor in beginning of Sector 1. And I had just beaten  SPOILERS Ridley X END SPOILERS and forgot to save.  :x
There wasn't much of a point in using a spoiler tag right there.  Ridley being in the game can pretty much be figured out as soon as Adam unlocks level 0 doors.  Oh, and the next time you are going to use a spoiler tag, the best way to do it is by highlighting the word(s) you want to be in the spoiler tag, then hitting this button:

1) Chozo Ruins crashes alot in MP.
He could have easily clicked the wrong link, and posted on the MZM board.
2) Chozo Ruins crashes alot in MP.
By reading the title, even I thought it was MP.
3) I am replying to what I probably shouldn't... why? o.O
