Do you think any X survived the explosion and crash?
Personally, I think they did.  They're invincible to everything, but absorbstion.  Plus, they were willing to blow up the station with them still in it, so I think they have some sort of defence mechanism vs. explosions.  The computer(Adam) even doubted that self-destructing the station would kill them all.  If I'm right (which is doubtful) then would that mean there are all kinds of SA-Xs and Serrises running around on the planet's surface.

Well you sen't the X into the planet's atmosphere then it exploded, most likely they would have eroded much like Comets do when they enter our atmosphere. Although There is probably millions that did not die in the crash because they were nowhere near the crash, like on the other side of their homeplanet SR-388 which ironicaly was cleansed of the X' only predator, the metroid by Samus.
SR388 + BSL were destroyed. No X left, they can't survive in vacuum, I think.

SR-388 was destroyed? I only thought that explosion damaged the planet, so any moons of the planet that might have had a civilization are now hopelessly drifting towards the nearest sun?
soaking through
SR-388 wasn't a gas giant, and so it's unlikely it would have moons capable of sustaining an atmosphere.  That's pure speculation, of course...
hmmmh, well if the crash didnt really destroy sr388, that means that all Samus really did, was reinserting both the metroids and the x's back into the planet's ecosysystem, what a way to ruin all she did in both ROS and Fusion :p.
Shifty Leader
That M2k2 guy
Well, if the planet wasn't there after the explosion, I can only assume that it blew up as well.
Watch the ending. All you'll see is an expanding cloud of gas on the computer monitor. Unless Nintendo wants to be stupid and say something like it couldn't detect a planet inside the cloud.
They could become smart and claim Fusion never happened ;).
Time bomb set get out fast!
Grrr.  I'm gonna go vote for you in Survivor.  Twisted Evil
Well if the planet did survive, I'm pretty sure teh X survived. For one in the very begining of the game, Samus finds a creature infested with the X. If there is one there are probably more, which means the whole planet could have been infested.
Dude, duh, the whole planet WAS infested, but it was destroyed, along with the spacelabs. Killed, pwned, gg no re, etc.

Well if they did survive than Nintendo will make another Fusion game, and you know what that means... Return of Adam.

There is no Adam. Adam died, as it said. "Adam" is what she named her computer and in the end she learns that great military minds were kept alive as computers or whatever. There is no "retrun of Adam". I think SR-388 wasn't destroyed, but the X were. Could be wrong though, later down the road when there is no more Metroid ideas left they may try to pull that out of their asses but thats about it, so I think anyway.

Ready and willing.
Soupy: I think the Federation knows enough to make backups.

Who said I was talking about the living Adam? The computer is much more evil.
As for whether or not the X could survive - there are two bacterial strains (the one that causes tetanus, and the one that causes botulism) that can go into an 'endospore'. When in an endospore, the bacteria could survive in the vacuum of space (the only real way to kill it is with immense pressure). Even though X is a virus, and not a bacteria, at least it's not far fetched that it could survive in space.
Point made, but still... that station hit the planet at a zillion miles an hour, tide in with the gravitional pull... I say, those "female dogs" be dead.
Heh heh... yeah, I guess that'd count as 'immense pressure' it also involves the whole fire... thing... What'd really answer the question, though, is if BSL was carrying a large supply of bleach - that stuff'll kill ANYTHING!
They survive and form a not-quite-so-symbiotic relationship with the Ing, who also survived, creating two weirdass species: the X-Ing and the Ing-X. The difference between them is who possesses whom. Then, attack of Metroid 5, a new game absolutely glitch- and sequence-break-free, in which you are the lone being in the universe that has not been taken over by X, the Ing, the Ing-X, or the X-Ing. Then you learn that not only did Aether have a dark world, but so did the rest of the universe, thus making all that work. Then, you learned that Dark Samus did not kill your mother, but actually was your mother.
No... No... That's not true... THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!
red chamber dream
lol...From the way Nintendo's been going now, that may well happen.
The X are truly evil! :(

What if the B.S.L crashing into SR388 instead of destroying the planet, the X could make a replica of the planet, slowly rebuilding it, then Samus would have to go back there, and what about the SA-X!?

I think the X have survived and are creating an army of a billion Adams to stop Samus from sequence breaking! In Metroid 5 you will have to destroy the Adam army to get your sequence breaking rights back. If you don't beat the game in less than 10 hours the Adams will detonate a bomb that will stop sequence breaking FOREVER. The Catch-22 is that there are 10 hours of unskippable cutscenes at the beginning that count on the timer so it's impossible to win.

It wasn't fully stated that the planet was destroyed so that isn't really a query. Three emoticons, congrats.
I have a theory.  It was never stated the planet was destroyed after the impact.  So in any case somthing might have survived after impact, at least it will when nintendo runs out of ideas  Rolling Eyes
