Let's take a look at Metroid Prime 3's 100% Ending:

and now at Prime Hunters:

It's the same ship from Sylux. So if Prime Hunters would play before Prime 3 this ending wouldn't make much sense. If it is Sylux' ship, then it would make much more sense that he follows Samus to a new planet and meets her in Hunters. This would only be possible if Hunters plays after Prime 3.

your opinion?
Thread title:
Why couldn't it make sense if Hunters takes place before Corruption? The MP3 ending indicates that Sylux is in pursuit of Samus, and we already know of his intense hatred for her and the Federation as a whole from MPH's info on him. The whole fiasco with Gorea and not getting the "ultimate power" everyone was looking for wouldn't have changed his opinion I'd imagine, and now that the pirates are on the run he has a clear shot at her again. It makes sense that he'd strike now while she least expects it, except we know that he doesn't as long as Corruption moves right into the rest of the storyline like it currently does.

Until they tell me otherwise, Hunters still takes place before Corruption in my mind. Everything still fits to me this way.
red chamber dream
There should be no debate about this whatsoever. Nintendo has stated that Hunters takes place between Prime 1 and 2.
That's more or less what I was trying to get to, but in less words.
hmm :-s
It's still weird...
Yeah... I don't see the problem. If you get the special ending in Hunters you can see the hunters survive an exploding final level that I can't spell. So Sylux is still out there, and apparently he's going to make his way back into the storyline somehow... perhaps in... DREAD?! :O:O:O
