SNES (14)

NES?

(If you're woundering about Sega G, it's Sega Genesis)
Thread title:
I like GC then PS, but since they aren't up there, I picked SNES.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
Werid selection.

GC is tops for me, but... I guess SNES out of the choices.

How are they weird?  They are the best of the best!

They're weird because no one in their right mind would pick anything but SNES.  :P

I guess your right.  Maybe I should have put different ones on instead. :|
GC is the best for me as well, im not really a fan of any of the controllers that don't have prongs, and the playstations prongs are pointless, not to mention the sticks on that thing are just pathetic excuses.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
Super Nintendo, followed closely by Playstation/2.  (very similar in concept).

The NES one is just too blocky, the Sega Genesis had a very odd number of buttons (litterally), and the 64 controller is one of the worst controllers I've ever seen (even worse than the original XBox controller).
Say what you want, I really like the 64 controller. It was quite versatile, usable for FPS, platformers, any type of game. And it worked well for me. Now GC has a great controller, but it's not good for everything. MP only worked 'cause it had a different control scheme than normal.
GCN is the ultimate controller, but Ima say N64 for this poll.  It fit so well!
I used the Snes to train my thumb to stay on the Y button(Usually the button that allows you to run fast)
I'd vote, but I have none of those.

Dont tell me you only have a GCN?!
I also have Xbox.
Microsoft supporting ridley.

Well, that might be a little hypocritical, as I type this with XP.
Microsoft is not that bad.
The n64 controller was the worst controller ever. I went through several controllers just playing Ocarina of Time. It was so incredibly poor quality. Rest of the machine was pretty nice. But the controller sucked ass.

Of all the controllers I've ever held in my hands, the PSOne/PSX/PS2 controller is by far the best. However, since that one isn't on the list, I'll go with the SNES controller. Pretty decent. Good size, good positioning of the buttons. Yep, pretty decent.
N64 Controllers are kind of bad, but they aren't the worst.  XBox controllers are the worst. :|

The original XBOX controllers are indeed quite bad. Because of their sheer size. You'd have to be my size to be able to handle them properly (I have quite large hands, being over 6 foot and 2 inches tall).
However, the current next-gen controllers, which are a whole chunk smaller... are actually VERY good. Same degree of robustness as the original and as the XBOX itself (XBOX may not be a beautyqueen, but it's ROBUST, far more robust than the PS2) and a nice size.
The PS2 controller still beats the rest of the field though. Simply sheer perfection.
I did break* a total of 4 n64 controllers throughout my n64's lifetime, 2 of them were crappy 3rd party though, so i don't consider them counting.
(I still have 4 that work perfectly)

what the hell were you doing to your poor controller to go through that many with OOT?  I think the 2 of mine that died, died mainly because of 1080 and its constant stick rotation to try and pull off a 1080, even smash brothers, and my hundreds of hours on that, Didn't* destroyed a controller.

Likewise, i actually have no issues with the xbox controller other than the buttons, it feels decent, the sticks are excellent.. but the fact that the buttons are curved OUTWARD is what really fucks me over, it just hurts after a while.

*repaired typos that are needed for this to make sense

You're right, only really one of my 64 Controllers is broken, and it still kind of works.  Only moving leftward doesn't work right.(Instead of Mario running left, he's walking)  That is probably due to playing Paper Mario a lot.  Since a few special moves included tapping the anolog to the left as fast as you can. (Parakary's Air Raid, and Kooper's Fire Shot)  Too bad, it was my favorite controller.  Evil or Very Mad
Try playing HRC in SSBM like we do on GameFAQs. Contollers will break real fast.

The PS2 controller? Perfection? How can you stand those sticks jutting out that far? It puts your thumb in a really awkard postion...

Yes, they are kind of uncomfortable.  My thumbs are a little akward as it is, so it doesn't bother me too much.
My problem with Sony's is that it's not really shaped to the hand. The flat surfaces on it don't work well with my hands, and I don't really like the buttons, either.

And what's the deal with L2 and R2? What's the point?
