Im need sequence break this game because someday im try new speedrun. Maybe someday im try improve my old time because my old time is pretty worst (1.24.14) Embarassed

. I try beat this game sub hour but im need sequence breaks.

Last time im use claim solasis route and im use devil soul, devil soul make most boss much faster beat. I don,t know it is good idea use claim solasis route but Abadon is very hard beat without claim solasis. Bad company boss: im use ukoback soul because this soul is pretty effective.

But anyway Im need new sequence break and speedtrick because im try make new speed run this game.

I know im speak bad english.

Okay,first,first, there is someone over at SDA who said he has beaten it in around 50 minutes.

Second,I don't know everything about the game,I didn't even get all the good weapons nor all souls, which means that I can't give too much input for a good route. Don't forget that there might be some undiscovered glitches(or I simply don't know them).

Anyway,I always thought this would be a very awesome game for Speed runs,so I thought it would be cool to make (obviously not finalized) routes and stuff.

With that done, there is -afaik- only one real "Sequence break" -using the backdash special attack from Cutall/Cinquedia.

Then there is the Succubus glitch: It is possible skip many of the later bosses(like Death) if you use it,but I don't really like it,so the route is a "SDA-legal"-route,as I call it. So Succubus glitch is allowed if you aren't leaving the boundaries of the room.

This is some "basic" route,which doesn't contain things like souls/weapons and stuff:

-Lost Village,get Flying armor,go to the Wizardy Lab
-beat the boss there and get the touchscreen soul. Activate the teleporter in Wizardy Lab. Go to the Garden of Madness. Activate the teleporter
-get the one soul which lets you switch weapons if you want. Proceed to the Dark chapel.
-beat...Dario? Dmitrii? and get the Malphas soul. Activate the teleporter there.
-go back to the Garden of madness and beat Dario(Dmitrii?). Enter the demon gues house and get Minas Talisman
-get the Cutall weapon. Either warp or run back to the garden of madness.
-enter the clock tower backwards using cutall.
-proceed to Zephyr and beat him. Activate the teleporter afterwards and warp to the wizardy lab.
-enter the subterrean hell backwards using cutall. use the fastest way to get to the silenced ruins(whatever that is). Beat the bat and get his soul.[Note: You need the magic circle from the clock tower for him,that's why we fight him after Zephyr]
-warp back to the clock tower and enter the pinnlace
-enter the demon guest house via pinnlace and beat Paranoia.
-back to Pinnlace,kill big boo boss(forgot the name)
-warp to the garden and activate the one cutscene. warp to the chapel and enter the tower->underground. Use Cutall in the chapel so you can skip some rooms there.
-Death->Abyss->End.

Cutall vs Cinquedia:
It seems that Cinquedia appears in the shop when you get Minas Talisman. Getting the money(32800?) for it is a pain. Cutall wins.

Skip part of the pinnlace:
This uses the Succubus soul,but doesn't leave game boundaries. In the big room with the stairs leading to the boss in the pinnlace,go to the upper right corner(there is a werewolf),you can use the sucubbus glitch with an axe to get up to the stairs. You can do the same on the way back(-> glitch down the stairs) with Cutall if you time it correctly.

Souls/Weapons:

I can't really help you here, but Killerclown lvl 9 and werewolf(or backdash,but werewolf is better and easier) is pwnz0r. Get Lilith lvl 9/the soul which doubles the damge if you hit an enemy backwards and you will do more damage. Don't forget that this will require MUCH luck manipulation to get the souls pretty fast.

The three 7-armor and the armor on the way to Dario/Dmitrii will raise your luck quite much.

Walkyre(I have no clue how to spell it) is good for faster travelling.

Can't really say anything about the other equimpment yet.

You will most likely have to buy many mana potions during the run if you are going to use souls very often.

I hope this helped at least a little bit.

It has some "backdash" special attack and if you use it on one one of these one-way-gates(garden of madness->clock tower for example),you can open them backwards. (Use succubus soul->use special attack to warp forward->wait->use special attack again to warp) You can use this special attack to activate the one-way-gates (garden of madness->Clock Tower; Wizardy Lab->Subterran hell etc.) and you don't need the Succubus soul to do so. You can skip Gergoth/Puppet master/Rahab with it.

Im run my second test run and im skip: Puppet master, Gergoth, Rahab, magic seal 3, little Paranoia Death, Abadon. This route is really fast.

EDIT: Hups! Im need Gergoth soul because im need pick up Claim solasis. Last boss is really long and extreme hard if you don,t have Claim solasis.

EDIT 2: Ok im try beat game without claim solasis, because Gergoth took too much time. Im try use Bjuh+devil soul with last boss. Idon,t know it is Valkyrie soul good idea with Bat company battle. Hardest part my run is Bat company, Paranoia and Menace battles. Menace is really difficult beat because im have Bjuh axe, about 20-level up and devil soul.

I don't know if this is going to help because you seem to be using only the heavier weapons but try to use a faster weapon. If you have Claimh Solais, get Valmanway. I personally use Valmanway for everything. I've beaten the game with literally everything and beaten every mode. I'd say fast and non-movement hindering souls are your best bet, as well. Abaddon's soul is good for bosses, I've found.

If you're starting from the beginning, get Mandragora's soul. It's a quick kill for most early enemies and is cast fairly quickly.

Again, the weapon choice seems to not matter if you've become proficient with heavier weapons. Try going with faster weapons, though.

Fast weapons, maybe not good idea beat Menace because Menace is very hard beat if you don,t have enought Long and strong weapon.

Easiest way beat Menace is claim solasis way. Because Menace are weakness light and Claim solasis is light sword. Axe is maybe second best weapon beat Mence. Maybe somebody soul help very much, but all soul are very uneffective in speedrun. Dead pirate + devil soul make many boss very fast beat, but Dead pirate not working in Menace battle.

Devil soul + claim solasis make Menace more faster beat. Valamanway is good weapon but not working in Menace battle.

I use Claimh Solais for Menace, as well. for the first part of the battle I use the Medusa head soul and valmanway and hover right above the poison gas and continually attack. When the knives come down, I move away and return when they leave.

I've also noticed that the black panther soul helps to avoid those darn flying things.
