Well the extra missiles and PBs were from the croc area so.... Also the grapple beam was missing because I had it already. Interesting.

I liked the suits. Shinespark charge and Screw Attack looked pretty nice with Varia. Gravity might need some different shade or something, I think it would fit a little too well into background in Norfair. Varia makes Samus look like Leonardo from TMNT  :D
I'd say more accurately that the grapple was missing because you already had that quint-Etank. both had 3C as their indexes. As for why Croco was missing... A lot of nearby rooms suffered from the rooms I worked on. I took a look and the room leading from the icebeam gate room to the room before croco has a random save station, as well as two glitched unknown PLMs.

All of you who liked the boss, just think: I originally had Botwoon in there too, but it kept glitching mid-fight.

The blue suit, I liked.  It beats the power suit.  The Varia suit was a little too dark, it could do with some polishing.  As far as the Gravity Suit goes, i couldn't tell you for sure.  It needs some polishing as well though.

However, when I did my Gravity Suit, it had a heavy metal look (silver/grey with black and dark red) and that got good feedback, everyone seemed to like it.

Just remember that when designing suits, sit back and think:  Would the developers approve?  (e.g. don't use colors that look bad together, don't make it have a monotonous color, etc)

Edit:  Here's an example:

Its basically the power suit with modified colors using the same shading technique.
LOL. That was actually my original design for the varia, but I decided I liked the green better. I was trying to go for magma coloring with the gravity suit, but I messed up the screw attack fairly badly, and the shinespark resembled the coloring from fusion (i think... its been a while).

Anyway, I'm temporarily out of good ideas for minihacks. Anyone have a request? I'll consider any and all good ideas*

*Disclaimer: Some exclusions apply. Any reference to orange juice, froot loops, or other part of this balanced breakfast will result in immediate disqualification. Those who thought they were entitled to sharing of ideas but ended up not being entitled to said cooperation are null and void for the meeting of the minds. I'm looking at you Kansas...
Here's an idea if you really need one: make a minihack that would show what SM would be like if it had been an action-based linear sidescroller. Something like Contra. It might be difficult to do, but you'd just have to use rooms that have a high enemy count. Or failing that you could make a fullhack.
Another choice would be to finally make the Super Glitchtroid.
Ducknerd abandoned (?) the project since there was not enough ideas to make the hack long enough. Now that we have played these mini-things all the time, it is more than acceptable to make some shorter hack with that theme too.

Maybe you and ducknerd could exchange a few words about that if you are interested. Of course duck can also finish it if he wants, but if that idea is just floating around and nobody would finish it and there is someone who wants an idea.... well, you get the equation here. Also I think you are just the guy for the job, you have enthusiasm, knowledge and skill to set up different situations.
I am not sure but he might have some map material still somewhere. Also we (well, at least I) have quite a good list of glitches and tricks to be exploited.

So, how ´bout that one?
Glitchtroid would be interesting, but I'd have a hard time testing it if I can't do all the glitches. If you'll pm me a list of glitches, I'll see about it, but I can't make any guarantees. Also, whatever my next hack ends up being, it will take much longer because of holiday/going back to college.
Anywhere, everywhere
Beat ridley and got to the woot room. Got the secret xray scope as well. Never got screw attack though, could see it, but couldn't get it.

Speaking of that, I found this that I had made when I released Playground and meant to release when I showed off the UWWJs but couldn't find it. its an smv of getting the screw attack.

Every Bit Counts
I got stuck. :(

Did you intend for it to be possible to get into Tourian?

I did. DOUBLE W00T

I had orignally intended that to be a secret room, but took it out due to some glitches that arose. or at least I though I took it out. how'd you manage to get there? an smv would be awesome.

Are you sure you just can't roll out? I got stuck there too, but that was when the pb block was still there. once the block was gone, I could get free. I didn't know you could still get permastuck, or else I would have removed the slope.

Ack! I actually finished Glitchtroid about five months ago, but I've been having a horrible time getting the windows machine I used to make it connect to the internet. I'll get it out sometime, I swear!

And also, yeah, it wound up being pretty short, a little longer than most minihacks.

I got to the area behind Crocomire by saving in the w00t room and then reloading. I then used x-ray climbing to escape Crocomire's room. After that I just played through the game normally, killing the remaining three bosses, while avoiding the rooms that were edited, and walked right in to Tourian.

Where you go next:
at the beginning of the yellow/orange path to the missles(just past the tunnel) there should be a slightly different block in the wall. These blocks indicate that theres a way through the wall at that point.

What you do there:
you have to crouch jump and bomb it, then crouch jump again to enter a morphball tunnel, that after some pseudo springballing will eventually lead you to the areas above the missles.
Every Bit Counts
yes I got stuck Perminatly
Did you by any chance lay a bomb or springball jump after you got temporarily stuck? I did that, then was permastuck.

In lieu of this, I've updated the IPS on the first post, and I've added another secret/non-necessary item in the first room. Due to the items that look like other items graphics glitch, you'll be able to tell what it is, but best of luck getting/finding it.

pseudo springball? I tried jumping up in that passage for over ten minutes.

edit: d'oh
bad design? you can't escape this area without 10 sms. at least put in a crumble block.

very fun hack. I liked this alot, perhaps better than all of your others O_o
Enjoying Playground right now, but I seem to be stuck.

My most recent items include the PBs, Charge Beam, and Spazer Beam.  I can't figure out where I'm supposed to go next.
Almost happy
Go towards the place where you got hi-jump, there is a item there guarded by PB blocks.

And where was Spazer?
Every Bit Counts
probably in the new version

Alrighty, thanks.

Regarding Spazer...

It's right next to the first pack of missiles in the SE corner of the room, but you need to do a speed mockball to get to it
