That about it really. I really want to be able to download the various movie files on the site. Particulalry the 15 percent run for Metroid Zero Mission but they all seem to be in mp4 format which none of my media players currently seem to support. What software should I be using? Thanks a lot!

Not impossible
just highly unlikely
Quicktime.
直死の魔眼使い
Indeed. Although I didn't like it at first, I had to eventually install iy, since it's the only decent MP4 player. I don't like it for the fact that it takes up way too many system resources at startup and during execution, and that, when paired with Photoshop CS, can really make any machine look like a snail when loading up.
I wish there was a player that played absolutely EVERYTHING.  Now I'm not gonna sit here and pretend to be computer savvy, but I'm pretty sure one doesn't exist.  Who will be the first to prove me wrong? :P
Zoom Player.

Plays everything (you must only install the codecs)
I use it instead of media player or whatever.

It even plays DVD in the pro version but you have to pay for pro, but it isnt really needed imho.
www.3ivx.com has a codec download that lets you play .mp4 in windows media player.  No more crappy quicktime player for me !
I tried that one but all the .mp4s I tried playing played 3x faster >_<  QuickTime Alternate didn't seem to work quite right either, so I just got crappy QuickTime.
Nero.  Really good quality videos-but I think you have to buy it in a store.  I forget so I'm not sure.
I downloaded the 3ivx one as well and it plays too fast for me too. You can get it to play normal speed if you change the hardware acceleration (you can set it to whatever you want but you must move it somewhere everytime you play a file.) However i want one that works in normal speed on its own. I guess ill stick to quicktime for now
The VLC will be with you. Always.

Seriously though, get VLC or Quicktime.
