I think some serious drugs were involved for someone to say:
"Hey! Lets make a game in space with a female bounty hunter in a cool suit who has to fight space pirates that look like bugs... Hold on! Something else just came to me... her suit can get upgrades by picking up items... and one of the upgrades can be the ability to roll into a ball... Roll into a ball! Can you imagine that? And then we will have strange alien parasite jellyfish with tusks that suck the life out of you... literally! And at the end of this she will have to fight a brain... no... a HUGE brain!
