It's the only one and I feel stupid for asking, but I just can't figure out how to keep speed ball going after I go inbetween the two vertical areas. Help?

Hold left as you spark through the first speed blocks and up the little ramp on the screen beyond. Then, press down, because after going up the ramp, you are not sparking, but basically dashing in ball mode. So when you hit down, you have a ball charge, so hustle back before the little ramp, jump, and spark left. You should make it.

You have exactly enough time to hop up and grab the missle, drop down, go back to the pit area to the right and then boost left again before the booster wears off.

Wow.  sorry, but neither of those descriptions help me even in the slightest.  I've been trying to get that blasted super missle for close to an hour now and only once was I able to press down in time to save my speed booster charge, but after that I don't know how to turn into a ball and then shoot to the left...  They give you such little room after you come out the door..

I'm getting mad now and nearly snapped my HORI pad in half.

That's probably your problem, we're talking about different rooms. The room I'm reffereing to is the secret room between the two big vertical shafts. To get to that one, you have to start from the bottom of the gold shaft, shoot the door, start your dash into the next room. When you get to dash speed, you have to save the charge, RUN back, shoot the door, morph, and then jump and spark left. That's the only way to get through the ground level morph ball speed block passage.
