Why am I feeling Fusion 2.0?

Any reasonable person expected nothing less since the beginning.
unfortunately its obvious that the bottle shit is the only location

I meant THAT conclusion and THAT tie to Fusion.
Not really the whole computa->adam tie to Fusion.

It could still be pulled off in a more metroid-y way than fusion did. I don't expect Other M to do it though.

I don't see why the location of the game matters at all. As long as the environments are visually divided into "worlds", you have the exact same structure and gameplay experience.

Unless you're talking about the whole "exploring an alien world" vibe, which, yes, Other M is clearly devoid of. Still, I don't mind a change of pace.

What you're overlooking is that if it indeed takes place on 1 space vessel and 1 space vessel alone... there are only so many differences you can have between zones.

Primarily for reasons of realism but also some other details. Just think about it - how realistic or logical would it be for one single space vessel to have, say, 10 different interior layouts? Realistically speaking, any space vessel will typically have one (1) global design scheme in mind. It would be a bit of a silly vessel otherwise.

If said vessel was like the BSL then the variation is nearly limitless.

And as we know, Metroid has never been guilty of taking silly concepts and making them core elements of the game's design.
