One shall stand, one shall ball.
Yakuza just... What?

This is awesome.

Seriously watch this run.

Having just finished watching the whole thing I'm now convinced that the bosses did horrible things to B.Spark one time long ago. Because he very clearly hates them.
Just got done watching it, awesome!  Biospark, you mentioned eventually submitting an unassisted < 1:13 100% run, any chance of that happening soon?
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
I think that's the current run, and he was looking to drop it to 1:09, if I'm notmistaken.

I caught this run the other day on TASvideos.org, but it is fantastic viewing.  Very Happy
This was more enjoyable than I thought it'd be.  Great work.
All the stylish touches you included were very pleasant ;)

Sounds like it's not gonna be for quite a time, but he's also saying he should be able to do it Single Segment. I say he's crazy. But on the other hand, he did accidentally get a :48 any% single segment.
Yo.
Am currently watching this thing while I post, it's pretty awesome. Nice work, you stealthy ninja, you! laugh new I especially liked Yazuka rape; it screwed with a few tilesets in the memory.

I was reading the sections below the video (hah! reading on the internet,) and one thing confused me. What do you mean by "real-time frames?" Like, actual real-time? I wasn't actually sure, from the way it's worded. Although, if that's what you meant, then it can be said that time equates to money, and therefore it's best not to waste time.
Almost happy

Non "in-game" frames. Like lag, door transitions and such.

Nice stuff I'm seeing so far, but I got up to the end of NOC1. I noticed you charged a shine, jumped up the platform, continued on into the recharge room, then sparked. Could you have jumped into the recharge room, then charged the shine as you landed to save a couple frames? Could this be applied in several places you missed?

The one thing that seemed really bizarre to me, though, is that it's presented by m2k2. lulz, history. :^P

I was watching the medium quality no story vid and the sound quit working around 1 hour 2 min. Im currently downloading again to see if is just a bad download by me. Otherwise the run is awesome.
Edit: it was just a bad download on my end. its all good now.

All part of nate's plan to destroy TAS.

It's brilliant in its subtlety.
Devonodev: Other D
I have only played Fusion a few times, and I haven't watched any videos of it.
But I have to say, that this is awesome!  It sort of makes me want to play fusion.
Definitely give Fusion a shot.
You'll hear a lot of pointless criticism about it, and as such, you'll find it's not rated very high on the global scale of things. However, it truly is a gem that should be experienced, if only once.
once GameFAQs, now Twitch
While watching the vid, I think a way to express Fusion's malignment is not so much the lack of sequence breaking, but that you know exactly what you're going to do and get.  Sure, the SA-X in general and some of its fuckery (the elevator, for instance) are a bit unforseen, but when it comes to what upgrade you're gonna get, you already know which one -- and typically only one -- you're goin' for.  No "Oooh, looky what I found! Let's see what we can do with this," since whatever upgrade you're sent to retrieve is exactly what you need to progress.

Anyway, Q:  Do the doors in Fusion (and ZM, I suppose) only become passable when they're fully opened?  I notice that you (and maybe Dragonfangs) are a bit away from the unlocking doors when they first begin to open, but I eventually rationalized that being any closer wouldn't do any good, and that you pass through as soon as is possible.  Is this right?

Jagger ftw
This deserves an oscar.
Man... This is faster than my any% run (26%)... I feel ashamed.. 0% Trick in a signle segment! holy ****! (D fang even saved...)

Here is a trick I didn't see bio use (Saves about 1 or 2 milisecond).
When your getting the missile in the beginning, the room before the elevator (which is the room right of the navigate room), jump to the left (wall or door) and jump to the right, and you should ended up on the middle ledge.

EDIT: Inmagine Biospark started to play SM......

Not enough room to make the jump. You should know this. Also, I can't think of any other places I might have missed.

I have no idea what you are talking about and it's probably not faster.

Notice that this is a Tool Assisted Speedrun, there is a big (big) difference between this and a normal speedurn (this is still really impressive though).

Well, unassisted (console run), I'm pretty sure hotarubi has everyone beat for the forseable future, and tool assisted we're already a pretty big group scrutinizing every aspect of every room and game mechanic already (not that I would mind Biospark comming along :P).
No thanks, you guys can have your fun with SM.
Jagger ftw
I'll show you bio.

Why did like all the mods changed their name?

I haven't watched it, but I will later today.

EDIT: Watched it. My favorite boss fight was BOX 1. All three seconds of it.

Are you trying to troll us or do you seriously think frame-by-frame runs are "hard" if you don't use the in-game save stations? Also note that the 0% trick has never been done in real time.
...
I doubt it will ever be done in real time on a real GBA/DS/GB Player.  But it's fun to implement it into Fusion hacks!

What do you mean.
Here is what I was trying to say.
Quote:
This run is faster than my regular any% run, and this run is 100%..
When d fang tried the 0% trick he even saved before sector 3, bio didn't.
Finally finished watching it.  Very nice. ^_^  I'd forgotten how much I like that game.  Except for the entire ARC sector. I hadn't forgotten how much I disliked that. :P  Felt good to see it zipped through.
