1:33 using Smokey's route, but I only used the mockball (for the first super missiles) and the GGG (for the screw attack, because I couldn't get the charge to work from that gate for the shinespark into the pillars, which of course is how Smokey skipped the screw attack).
So, I woke up MB with only regular missiles, after using some of the 6 supers that I had left (out of 10, and smokey had 15 total and went into MB's chamber with 7) and the full 30 regs on the zebetites. I went back for more regs and finished the zebetites, and then used the rest of the supers to break the glass, then used what I had left of regs on MB. Then I went back to refill again and finished waking her up.
With my lack of practice and experience, I didn't expect to do even this well. My only regret was having to use the GGG. Stupid charge for that shinespark! I just wanted my screw attack, so I said screw challenge! (next time I'll be saying screw the screw attack!)
I did that a little over a year ago. I had somewhat of a 2 month love affair with this game. I saw Smokey's 0:58 100% and I was totally amazed, and I just had to learn all those tricks. It was certainly fun being able to play one of my childhood favorites in such new and unique ways. Playing it again helped me to remember how truly good this game was in its time. :)
Just finished another run, ending up with 1:06 and 32% rating. That's nearly 30 minutes better, game-time, than my last run. I did another run before that, without planning anything, and I explored around a little. That run ended with 2:42 and 68% rating. I tried to go completely off of memory of where most everything is located, but I wasn't going for a 100%, because I only wanted to explore a few areas and get some practice in. This game gets more fun each time I play it.
Wow, that's (pretty) good... Anyway, welcome to the forum, och det är alltid kul med en till svensk här (it's always fun with another swedish guy here).
