I, like many other people, have been long awaiting a sequel to Banjo-Tooie (and Grunty's Revenge, for that matter). I don't know how many people on these forums play the games as much as I do, but what do you all think should be included in the next game (if Rare decides to even make one). I guess it will be on the XBOX, because of Nintendo's biggest mistake ever (selling Rareware), but any ideas for the plot/storyline or gameplay?

I think the jinjos should play an even bigger part in this game..maybe some kind of jinjo "world" with different areas like jungles, beaches, stuff like that. You could learn abilities from a different jinjo in each area (maybe a way to swing on vines in the jungle?). Also, it would be cool to not have levels, just one huge world with different areas, like I said. Jiggys and notes would still be there, but I don't know what the notes would be useful for. So..what do you think?

Hah, biggest mistake ever my foot. Rare's simply uneven, although they can do some great work. Still can't compare to crap like the Virtual Boy.

And there's no way in hell I'm going to be able to afford another console without cutting into my other purchases.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
Virtual Boy = biggest mistake evar

Giving up Rare = an intelligent move, money wise
At least they can't do that with Retro, since it's actually part of Nintendo, right?

Unfortunately, if Rare ever does make any more Banjo (or Perfect Dark: Great Game) games, I will probably never play them. X-Box just doesn't have enough games that I like on it to make it worthwile for me to buy. (That, and the fact that I already got a Cube and a PS2)

Why did Rare stop working for Nintendo?

They were a great team! :x

I always enjoyed renting, and playing Perfect Dark on N64, my favorite part was the Combat mode, trying to up my ranks.

It's sad that there will be no Perfect Dark on the Gamecube.

I always knew money was the source of evil, but damn!! :x
Meh.  Rare had begun to be make bad games.  There last great game was either Conker's Bad Fur Day or Perfect Dark, whichever came last.  And the team that did GoldenEye, arguably the best FPS ever, is now behing the works the Time Splitters FPSs.

Cause they let them go.  They weren't making as much money anymore.
I still agree with you that they were a great team anyways.

Yeah, I'm just very biased for Rare. They were my favourite game team ever. I'm the kind of person who would buy an XBOX just for a Banjo game.
lvl 28 Magic Leper
I didn't like many of their games aside from Perfect Dark and Conkers Bad Fur Day. I think Nintendo made a wise choice in letting them go though.
DKC and GoldenEye ruled 8). I didn't like anything beyond that though... Nintendo is smart :)

Yeah I forgot Donkey Kong. And Jet Force Gemeni. With games like that plus Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark, and Conker's, there's not much to not like about them.
Rare was gold, but I'm not expecting anything great from them in the future... Something about most of the team leaving after M$ bought them? They haven't done squat since M$ did buy them. Maybe it was a good move by Nintendo to sell them when they did, or maybe they wouldn't have quit if they weren't bought.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
Rare's last good game was Conker's Bad Fur Day.  Star Fox Adventures, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, and Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge were all "meh."
red chamber dream
Grabbed by the Ghoulies was meh. BK:GR could have been a great game, but it was so short and so simple that it severly lacked. Wasn't worth thirty bucks, more like twenty.
I really, really liked Starfox Adventures, unlike most. Although I think it could have worked fine wihtout Fox included, but oh well. I'm really looking forward to Starfox Armada, though, and being baack in the Arwing.
Anyway, back on topic.

Microsoft.
The best game for the SNES they ever made was, Donkey Kong Country 3 - Dixie's Double Trouble.

I loved that game.

Best part was using Dixie's hair as a helicopter to land to hard to reach places. :)

ALL of the Donkey Kong Country games were quite awesome, and I think that they got better with each sequel.
I always hated the Banjy and Kazooie series, so I can't say I am looking forward to this game.

IT's a lame abbreviation that I have to put up daily with some of my goddamn teachers in my program as they refer to Microsoft as Micro$oft, Micro$#!+, Windoze and a bunch of other lame crap that they think is funny  Evil or Very Mad

I was thinking that it would be nice to see Donkey Kong Country 4 on the GBA.

Well, at least I think that Rare are only making games for the GBA, unless Nintendo may plan on making DKC4, themselves.
red chamber dream
Rare is still making games for the GBA. I hope they do DKC4, not Nintendo, although it would probably be a good game either way. But I doubt that it would happen.
Rare cannot do a donkey kong game, Nintendo holds the rights to that character and any affiliated with it... sadly.

Oh, I didn't knwo that Nintendo held all the rights to Donkey Kong games. But, now that I think about it...duh.

And what's with the old topic coming back?
