Assistance needed (come on in photoshop wizards)

Hey guys, I've been messing around with a design for our band (You know, something we can put on shirts and stuff) and I've got a basic design for something. It's the initials of our band name(oteor). I used paint to make it so it looks pretty bad.

It really need's to be spiced up, but I'd like it if you didn't change the basic design though if you know what I mean. Just mess around with it if you are bored. Thanks!

Sweetness! That looks pretty schwang. I guess I should have been more specific, sorry. What I meant by the same basic design was that the shape of the letters should stay the same. The colors, and pretty much everything else you can mess around with however you want. Altough pink and yellow wouldn't be too.....Ah, you get what I mean.

You know what it is you really want? A vector artist. With a vector file, you could scale and resize the logo however you want in whichever way you want and it'll never become pixelated or blurry. Which is ideal to have for a band, as you can use the same file for online logos, cover art, shirts, even posters and banners if you go that far.

I suggest you redo that R, though.. it really looks very rushed compared to the other guys. And it's my favorite letter, so you'd better treat it well!

Here's what I've done. I added the yellow glow so the lower spike on the second O didn't disappear.

Something in my head is screaming 'Quake' whenever I look at it.

If you want different colours for any part of it (letters, background, bevel, glow...think that's it), it's incredibly easy so I'll happily redo it. I am not exaggerating when I say I have nothing better to do.

lol so true. This CRT is hella bright, though: my brightness is set at 17 (out of 100)-- any higher and things look crazily white.

Wow, nice Hejira! What program did you use to do that? That's looking pretty sweet.

Could you make the contrast/brightness a little bit higher so it stands out more? Also, there's more empty space on the left side of the picture (my fault) and I couldn't figure out how to kill that extra space, so if you could make it more even on both sides then that'd be great. Thanks!

if you're thinking about cutting off the left edge entirely, you can probably just do that in paint. If not, you...still might be able to do it in paint. I'm not 100% sure it's going to preserve the quality, though.

Also I'm thinking make the glo just a tad brighter.
