I tried searching like CRAZY for this. Is there a pastebin, or "guide" for the any% and 100% routes? I actually had found some on GameFaqs, but they're at least 5-6 years old. The newest one I saw was from 2012, and I'm not sure if anything has changed since then, or if the author even typed it up correctly.

I'm interested in learning this game, just for the fun of it. I'd like to participate in the Friday night races on SRL for one of my favorite games.

Also, what is the best control scheme for the game?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

To be honest, I'm not even sure if this is where I should post this. Mods, if this is in the incorrect place, I'm sorry :(. Feel free to move or merge if necessary.

Hi Statik,
its more or less you have to just run the game and figure it out yourself. Watch a run for example and see if you can swap a missile expansion somewhere or switch the order of an item to save 5seconds lol it all counts in the end. While it is tedious work, its not that hard in this game as in the primes so run it a few times, watch some videos, and look at some maps to put together an amazing route.

Your best bet is to check some of the recordings on twitch for people like garrison and zoast.  As far as I know they're the top two runners at the moment.  I don't know if Behemoth is running NTSC, but he holds the current (submitted) world record of 0:48 on PAL.  You can see Zoast's (not submitted) 0:47 run here.
Here is a smv for the new any% route along with the emulator needed to play it.

That's the pastebin for Zoast's any% route and guide (the only known route until 2 days ago).

Most of them are all videos now. The Zoast one Fluent posted is the latest text document I have seen.
