I don't know if anyone's ever tried, but...

It seems to me as if you *might* be able to grab an alternate first missile tank.  In the second 'main' shaft in brinstar, it could be possible to walljump to the top of the shaft and quick-like morph and get into the hole at the top, and then roll left and grab the tank.

Has this been tried before?
Thread title:
Should be impossible.

Lets say that Samus is 2 "blocks" big and the morph ball one "block".

If you now jump in the air and morph, you will be in the lower "block" from Samus, so it should be impossible to jump into that hole. Besids that, you couldn't get out of the room after grabbing the missile.

It's possible with bombjumps, but extremely frustrating due to the change of screens.
You don't have bombs then...
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
I don't think you could get out after getting the Missile without bombs, like XtraX said.
This would be easy in Super Metroid, 'cause of how you keep your upward momentum even after you morph, but in ZM, pressing down the first time stops you.
in the name of justice!
yeah, and honestly i don't see them missing something like that.  it wouldn't really mess anything up (you'd still have to fight the brinstar worm...) but sequence is sequence.  i was so thrilled when i found out i could wall jump to the platform that leads to the missile/super missile in the wall in brinstar.  then i found out that didn't work either because, once again, you need bombs.  you can't do anything without bombs in this game, aside from getting the charge beam and three missile tanks.

would it really be that easy in super metroid?  i have major problems with midair morphs, so maybe it would.  i wouldn't be able to break it though.
It's like something I thought I'd found in Fusion: A missile tank available the instant you enter the station. It's in the area just under the second long corridor (the place with the Speed Blocks you find on the way to the ship before the Yakuza fight) but apparently, you need the bombs to break the blocks. And since it's Fusion, it wouldn't make a difference anyway. Oh well.
