Hi, great site and forum. Just have a question for the clever minds here.

In metroid fusion, after getting orders to Set the the station to impact on SR388, the background music changes to that real annnoying endlessly looping 'victory' theme. After finishing the game and beating Omega Pirate, if i load up my save file again, and hit 'continute', i notice you can now access the whole map, as all the doors are unlocked (unlike previously where you were forced to go the one path). However, its seems wherever i go throught the station now, to try and get 100% items, that damn 'victory' theme endelessly plays over and over, no matter where i am...

My Question is this: Is there any way to unlock this tune, so i can listen to the area specific music tracks? I love the music in this game, and im tried of hearing this one theme all the time, especially when i want to spend condiderable time trying to get 100% items.

Many thanks in advance :)

EDIT: This is on the the GBA SP, not an emulator.

Nope. Sorry. What you could do, though, is go to VGM and turn the sound on your GBA off.
surprisingly, this is seldom mentioned when people roast fusion. maybe the other glaring defects make the ridiculous, endlessy-looping amateurish excuse for music less memorable.

personally, i did my entire 0:53 run with the tv on mute.
What sucks is the cool boss music that appears only twice, and you can't record it because the boss fights are so intense, SFX wise.

If anybody knows the order in the rom of which the music ocures, I could find a way to change the music.

There's no sound test, right?

Sadly, no.
I know about that music.

It sucks when you have to hear it over and over.

The music I liked was the from Sector 5, Sector 6, and the one from the begining.

...was played over and over again THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE GAME! It's not bad though, I think it's a good song, and I don't really pay attention to the music when I'm trying to get through an entire area without a single mistake. I tend to concentrate on the game itself, not the sound behind it.

i tend to concentrate on the sound while playing the game behind it. ;)

I tend to concentrate on my accelerating FIST instead of your FACE that's behind it! :P
*kills j.g by blasting him with horrible fusion "music"*
Quotes around music. XD

I don't see how you can play without sound Nate. I can't stand doing that.
Music is music, and metroid does have some cool tunes.  Fusion I would say, has some less memoriable tunes than Super or MZM(well MZM is just souped up metroid music, which is very memorable).

and i don't see how you can stand playing with it on. with no option to turn off the music, listening to noc i try to be creepy for the fifty billionth time alone would make me want to forget the game ever existed. i'm sorry, i just can't stand the pathetic way fusion tries to make everything all dramatic and serious when it's not in a package capable of conveying those ideas. this is a video game, not a soap opera.

imo, metroid is a lot better when it doesn't take itself too seriously, when you're roasting a giant, mostly unexplained rock monster with a weapon you obtained by looking at a puddle spore carefully, then suddenly flying off into the air at a great speed. basically, fusion reminds me very much of what a metroid movie will look like (big on "drama" and small on the kind of content i value), and i think anyone who would adore fusion (or the movie) must not have the same values as i do.
Now that ain't fair, Nate. There hasn't even been any work on the movie yet, and already you're taking snipes at it? Give it time to become even somewhat non-incorporeal first, man!

Dude, I can't even stand it when my browser doesn't make those clicking sounds when you move from page to page.
Sound is your friend.  Only time I've ever muted a game was when the music gave me nightmares(Blaster Master, and at one point lower Norfair in Super Metroid)

I tend to be a bit nervous around volcanicly active areas in games, since that kind of thing isn't my er, favorite.

Why, it might overheat your GBA with all the animation and stuff?

Dude, don't joke about that sorta thing. That's happened to me three times so far this year. It sucks SOOOOO much, cause I have to buy another each time.

...Wow, mine only heats up when I play it in direct 95 degree sunlight. Were you playing it near volcanicly active areas or what? :?
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
Maybe he was just playing over a heating vent, or something.
I was playing in Fusion in the PYR SECTION IS GOING TO EXPLODE!!111 area and I was messing around and took too long and ran out of time. Then the game boy spontaneously combusted. I tried again with another one to make sure it wasn't a fluke, and the same thing happened. Now, they spontaneously burninate themselves whenever I'm in PYR.
IT SUCKS SO MUCH!
Oh, it's that guy

Well I frequently go down to the volcano beside my house to play my GBA.

And I agree with Nate. I think Nintendo needs to tone down the "soapness" for the next Metroid game.
Hey , give NINTENDO some credit!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Metroid Fusion was a good idea. So what about drama!?!
Besides , I like the idea of the story fueling the entire game, even if the end music is bad.
