1:45, 44%.  Was a lot of fun, I liked some of the aspects of the physics, speed boosting and boost ball were pretty fun.  I thought regular jumping was a little slow though.

Not being able to reliably jump made Ridley and GT harder fights, Draygons room was awesome too, almost didn't make it out

Some of the item progression felt a little weird, Early varia was odd and grappling beam was almost unused from what I saw.  I didn't find a lot of the major items though.

The tilesets and enemy changes were pretty nifty, so many sections had unique looks (though some of them were very hard to see in).  Level design had a cramped feeling, though that might have been me still struggling with new physics.
I don't really understand why I fail enemy 101... But I did finish! 2:08, 59%

Feedback:
Overall:
While it took me forever to get used to the physics, especially since sometimes you can jump normally if you're moving fast enough, I really liked this. I never did find the HJ boots, the ice beam or the xray. The graphics were amazing, and I loved your level design for the most part. Most of the time, however, I was wondering if I was going the right way. I'd love to see a TAS, speedrun, or even let's play of either the normal route or the fastest route.

Bosses:
I didn't have too much trouble with Ridley, but that's in part due to me having the bluesuit from my hell fight with draygon. GT took me forever to kill. Does the recharge station heal him too? Croco and Botwoon were very easy, and so was regular Bomb Torizo. I never saw Phantoon, Sporespawn, the fighting pirates, or Kraid. I found that fighting some bosses without charge beam is a bit scary.

I give my congrats to all who managed to not only play, but actually beat the hack... Maybe I'll change my mind, but so far I find it to be unplayable do to the retarded physics. I'll play around with it some more, but if I don't get the hang of this jumping I'm going to be going postal on something.

I feel the same way...
Other then the physics this hack is really good though.

To be fair, I don't think anyone has gone the intended route.

Warning: Don't click unless you've completed the game and don't care if anything you didn't find is spoiled.
The original intended route is to pick up your first supers to the right of the landing site, after obtaining speedbooster and finding charge nearby there. (Ice is also nearby but it's probably the hardest item to find in the game.) From there, you'd go to face Phantoon, whose death will let you unlock some doors that lead towards a morphball maze with the planned first power bombs.

But all went awry because I forgot some other options for first supers, and that you can get powerbombs so conviently close to the hardest path. Lots of people entered that place with less than half the ammo they were supposed to...

Breathe in the Future, Breathe out the Past
I've been able to refer to older savestates in most of the perma stuck situations, however I think I'm really stuck now. Just got gravity, and I can't seem to find a way out. I don't have speed booster. Also, the noob tube after the crumble block is also a perma stuck if you have no powerbombs, don't have ice either, so I end up wasting pbs on the metroids. The mocktroids can also cause a permastuck if you don't have enough health to survive once in the middle safe zone of the room. I'm going to have to start a new game, unless theres a way out of this.

Loving the level design so far. Very fresh.

Finé. 2:15, 36%.

I wish I had found more stuff (item upgrades and bosses).  I don't feel as though I've really beaten it.  Embarassed

But it was very interesting.

I'll give it another go, for sure!

Edit: I started another game, in another (memory) slot.  Most of the map that I explored in the last game is now exposed. Razz  I'll try clearing my main/first game.

----------------------------

Ah-ha!  I found out why I was getting perma-stuck in the tube area.

I set a PB in the wrong place (the first time through), I left that area, then came back and the tube was still intact, the water effect was still there, but not a broken tube.  And I don't think any number of PBs being set off would've broken it after that.
Finished!
I spend much time searching for hidden passages.

Finished again, 1:42, 44%.

I was able to get to Botwoon after the Special Credits.  I could take the elevator or the door on the left.  The door takes you to him...

Buuuut...  He was blocked off with that pipe in the way.  Maybe that's no big deal...?

And there is a bunch more I know I missed.  I may try to look again.  Looks like some places/items need a short charge to get into.
Samus...? Is that you?
How do i get the boostball? I'm stuck in the boostball room until i get it. So, how do i get it? Do i have to do something with the grey up-down moving thing?

Grey up-down moving thing? I don't know where u are but there was no "grey up-down moving thing" where I got boostball

Edit: I think i know where u are
Is this right?

I'm assuming boostball is to the left.
I don't know how to go there but i think the grey door is actually a slope tile because I played around for a while and accidentally fell through it.
Samus...? Is that you?
Yes, that's where i am stuck. Having only one savestate, and it's in that place. I really don't want to start the game again from the beginning
Well I managed to go through again and beat it with 98% this time.  I scoured this planet high and low.  I'm missing X-Ray and High-Jump/Springball assuming those are in the game.  Could I have a spoiler as to where they are, DSO?  I'm going for 100%.
This hack doesn't have hi jump/springball, as the boost ball patch combines them and springball is messed up, and there's no xray either.

Dmantra, updated patch will give you speedbooster in the area you're at, as you need it to continue.

Gaius:
Botwoon is part of another escape path to that elevator.

SMILEUser96:
Those grey tubes can pull you down through stuff. You can then use boostball to go through the slopes, or apparently some other way Xen0morf did.

How the hell do I pass this!? Am I retarded?

Cheating Crumble Bridge

Edit: Dunno how I missed the answer on a previous page. =\
Alright, I really didn't want to have to post here until I finished...but I can't figure it out!
I made it to the Golden Chozo, and obviously it regains its health after it is dead, but I can find a way out. I've tried bombing, powerbombing, shinesparking, making the Chozo through a super missile at the lock door. (Would have been utterly awesome, and genius, if it blew up the door.) but nothing seems to unlock the door. Hopefully it isn't a dead end? I saved my state while I was downthere... d'oh! Any hints?

Shadow, killing the monster unlocks the door.

I'll give a final time once I get 100%.
Well I finally finished it. To be honest I was kind of disappointed in my time. I thought I was a lot faster.
That took a ton of super missiles to kill that Torizo. The thing that made me think its health was respawn, was that it kept going back to its golden color after it was at its "almost dead" color.

Great hack DSO. I really enjoyed it!

OK, I'm stuck pretty early, and while this has sort of been addressed, I'm still confused.

I'm in the tube.  I killed the Metroids and broke it with a SB.  I see the bomb blocks, but I can't get up there.  You said something about being able to rise in morphball form, but I can't figure out how.  I can get close by jumping and unmorphing, but I always fall short.  Thanks in advance!

Thoughts:
Probably some of the most interesting level designs in a hack yet. My time was long because I loved exploring the environments, I guess that shows in my percentage. It did need some polishing and beta testing but the rushed release had no mercy for such things. This hack is the best bday present I got, seriously. A jacket, laundry detergent, a miyazaki dvd, a sushi dinner, and a fresh SUPER METROID HACK. yeah.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Quote from DonnyDonovan:

Basically, what I did there was I wiggled back and forth while laying bombs until it shot me up, and then I moved back and forth in the water to continue to rise. Also, if you unmorph while rising from this effect (whether or not you're underwater) you will continue to rise until you either morph again or hit a ceiling or enemy.

Loved this little bad boy!  The physic are love:3.  It made all the bosses lots of fun!  It almost makes me want to make a hack of AFC. (Like that one guy did for Dependence!)

Never did find boostball though.

. . .

oh well.
Thank you unsane.  I figured out the physics of that move.  But, I think I need
grapple, as the mochtroids are murdering me and I assume that's what would kill them.  Hint as to it's location?  I seem to be missing things everyone else found pretty easily (grapple and speedbooster for sure)
