Super Metroid Addict
Long ago...
Before the impact of the Leviathans, before the Gorea slaughter on Tetra Galaxy, even before the Luminoth finding planet Aether, the Chozo were trying to find the perfect warrior...
Something that could defend their planet-to-be against Space Pirate Invasions and Zebes native species, a breed of feral, fire-breathing ,vicious draconic creatures…
L’Zbit of the Chozo was a famous geneticist, and recently owned the planet SR388 as a farming colony for his experiences.
He recently found that leech DNA combined very well with lizard DNA, one that he has been working with since a long time ago, and that subjects infused with it could regenerate quicker than ones infused only with reptilian DNA.
But L’Zbit wasn’t sure he wanted to infuse someone or something with this new brew of manipulated DNA, he thought that maybe he could create an entirely new being, one that could survive the high temperatures of Crateria, or Tourian, one that could regenerate itself from the energy of its enemies, and that could contain the plague that, long ago, ravaged the inhabitants of SR388,a mysterious race that was killed by a plague of parasites that could absorb and mimic their victims…
L’Zbit know that this was going to be the last opportunity to succeed, because his own body was withering to death from a degenerative decease called Phthisis, and soon he would need the aid of life support systems.
L’Zbit and his student, Ch’Grakt were also working on Project Aurora for the Space Federation, and had already installed one unit deep inside Planet Zebes, on the region of Tourian, a place so chaotic that even the dragons that inhabited the planet feared it and veneered it as the Mother of all Dragons.
The Aurora Unit-00 was a super-computer that could control door hatches, elevators, security systems, and so on, and needed no outside assistance to secure it did it’s job clearly because it was programmed to be perfect, flawless and programmed to assure the safety of the Chozo.
Soon,Ch’Grakt discovered what his mentor was working on, and asked to be part of it, L’Zbit at first declined it’s student’s plead, but soon realized that he needed he’s help, cause his body, and soon, his mind would be no longer capable of having the same strokes of geniality that they used to have before Phthisis.
And then, the two of them worked on this new warrior, or, as they before-handed called: Metroid(A word meaning “Ultimate Warrior” on the Chozo language).
Ch’Grakt found L’Zbit dead on his laboratory one morning, poor old man, died working, while his body was finally consumed by the decease that scourged his last days, but he was astonished as he found that his old man achieved something: there was a semi-reptilian egg laid on a small ultra-resistant box.
He observed it with awe, with pride and sorrow, that his mentor would never see the thing that would come out of it.
Two cycles passed and the egg finally hatched.
The creature, a metroid, the first of all, looked a lot like a jellyfish like those found in some seas, but with small reptilian traces, like it’s small fangs.
Ch’Grakt opened the box and the creature came floating out, making a noise that seemed like a laughter from the child of hell, and, as he realized what was happening,it was too late, the Metroid was on top of him, feeding for the first time, draining away all his life as his body withered to a pile of rugged skin and bones.
Days later, the other Chozo researchers found what happened and managed to seal the creature, after stunning it with what would be known as Metroid’s great bane, something so simple and primordial as water…In fact, it was water, only it was water on it’s solid state, the frosty thing known as Ice.
Soon, the other scientists started to work on a breeding program and they created a group of nine Metroids, and sent one to planet SR388, where this sole warrior would be enough to terminate the parasites much later known as X, and sent seven specimens to Zebes, to fight the draconic rulers of this world, and left one larvae in the laboratory.
The one in SR388 soon gained it’s place on the top of the food chain, as it preyed on every other life form on the planet and had no predators, and soon, the Chozo lost interest in it, as they thought he would eventually die of age.
The Seven ones sent to Zebes started off a violent war against the dragons, who needed more than a dozen to kill one Metroid.
The Chozo started taking notes on the Metroid’s abilities in war, and were amazed as they found out there was no single Metroid alive, and all, but one child dragon were terminated.
Then, the Chozo descended to Zebes and took the baby dragon.
“ Your name, will be Ridley, and we’re gonna send you to somewhere where you will be veneered as a deity”-one of the Chozo colons said
