Alright, let's talk Blue Gender.

There, you've been warned. The whole series has played out on CN, (all whopping 26 episodes) and I have a beef
Namely why do so many animes get all abstract and weird
I mean it was a good series up until they started making like the earth was alive and the blue were an immune system made to kill of the human cancer. And then it's like the series was just to make this point. And it took 10 damned hours to make the point! Ooh that fries my potatoes.
The anime "purists" may poo poo on dbz and yu yu, but I tell you what I'm entertained when I watch it. As well as the tremendous amounts of american cartoons I partake of but cannot talk about here.
Now don't get me wrong, I liked Blue Gender, and I.... was amused by FLCL. But seriously, who do these people think they're impressing by getting all deep and philosophical? Well obviously they're impressing a lot of people because a lot of people like that deep stuff and hatorate on dbz and yu yu.
Well that's all I wanna say.
Oh yeah, Kenshin's fights would be better if he didn't try to sound deep before each fight. Kenshin's still coo though. But I don't buy the whole "Need the will to live to learn the ultimate technique" thing. I swear they threw that in to sound impressive. I mean I see where they're coming from with it and how it might make sense. But seriously, they didn't throw that in to enlighten people and make them think, they put it in to make it seem like they were trying to enlighten people and make them think. Rowr.
If they want to enrich lives they need to make an anime about numbers. I could be Uncle 3, the pragmatic yet lovable old number.
