After fighting the defense drone, to get the boost ball, I looked at the wall and there were a couple round things on the wall. When I scanned them, I believe it said that a strong blast would destroy them. So I figured I'd grab the boost ball upgrade then go blast them. Well, when you grab the boost ball, you charge up the elevator and the elevator takes you back to the upper level, and you can't go back down below (to where you fight the defense drone) to check out the circles on the wall you can destroy.
Are you able to get back down there again at some point in the game? What is in there?
