Is anyone else playing this game?  We (that is my brother who owns the game, me, and anybody else that has played it) are currently in Green Earth.  Where is everyone else currently at in Campaign Mode or War Room.  I am stuck on Sinking Feeling.  I keep running out of time.  Where is everyone else currently at in Campaign Mode or War Room.

Thanks,

Thread title:
Ah yes, Advance Wars 2. I've been addicted to this game for a while. Eh, I'm working on Hard Campaign right now, but sadly, I kinda suck at it. =\

My total War Room score is somewhere in the 7000's. The only maps I have left to go are Kita Straight, Twin Isle, Ring Islands, and Lost Basin. Wait, I think there was another... oh well. I was the second one to figure out how to beat Moji Island in 7 days with 300 points, too. I feel so special. =P

Anyway, I'd give you a few pointers for Sinking Feeling, but I have to go, so I'll get to that...

Heh, I belong to an AW forum. So yes, I play that a lot. I'm on the final level of Hard Campaign (playing all the missions, because it's more fun) and it's been a long, hard, fun road. Of course, since I belong to AW board, I've used up all my really general comments there. But yeah, it's so Flakking fun.
Okay, Sinking Feeling. There's three main rules to this:

1) Protect your AAs and indirects as much as possible. If you can, make sure they take no damage at all (unless, of course, the AA is attacking an air unit).

2) Move quickly, but not blindly. Always keep Lash's units in check as you move, but don't let her attack postpone your rush to the Battleships.

3) Attack the Battleships whenever possible.

I'll assume you want to capture the Lab Map city. Don't worry, it's in a tough position (it's the southernmost city on the western island), but it's actually not that hard to capture, so go for it!

On the first few days, move your units forward and keep out of the range of Lash's units, attacking her when it's fairly safe. You can let your Tanks and even your Md Tanks get pretty beaten up- they won't do you much good against the Battleships. Just remember to keep your AAs and indirects intact, as they will be the units that fend of the air units and take out the Battleships.

Capture the port ASAP, and build a Battleship ASAP as well. As soon as you can after the Battleship, build a Lander and send two Infantry to the western island. Have them capture the lab map city and the port. Their capturing will probably be halted by a B Copter, but just as long as you capture those two properties, their job is done. This isn't all that bad, anyway, as it divides Lash's attention slightly. As for the Battleship, while keeping it safe from aerial units, send it to get a headstart in destroying the Battleships. Concentrate on crippling and not killing- she'll join her Battleships when they're somewhat low on health, making them even easier to take down. Build more Battleships and maybe a Cruiser or too later on if you like. Make sure you build at LEAST one more Battleship.

Back to the ground war, the much tougher part of the mission. Contrary to NP's Player's Guide, I highly recommend capturing the four properties in the southeast. You'll need to take out Lash's forces there anyway, so you might as well (your two Mechs won't have much to do). But above all, prevent Lash from taking the eastern base. Capture it if you can, but if it falls into Lash's hands, unless you're ready to immediately occupy and/or capture it, you're in for some very rough seas.  You'll have enough on your hands and you don't need any more. Capturing it is recommended, however, so you can really seal your victory by building some AAs to REALLY protect yourself from Bombers and B Copters, and some Rockets to speed up the attack on the B Ships.

The minicannons pose a slight problem, but not much. Take the southern one by placing a Rocket five spaces south of it, so you can hit it but it can't hit you. Two hits will do it in. For the other cannon, come in from both sides and slam it with whatever you've got. After that's done, establish a position around Lash's B Ships and attack them with all of your indirects and your Md Tanks, but constantly watch out for her aerial units and keep them in check.

Good luck!

Kita Straight? That's an incredibly easy level, due to the AI's total ineptness.
It's not unfinished because I can't beat it, but rather just because I was trying it once and made an incredibly stupid mistake so I quit, and I haven't picked it up since. I don't know, the beginning just annoys me with all those properties for some reason. >_>;;

It's the same with Ring Islands. I think I can nail that one too, with just a little more patience. Lost Basin I can't seem to win for some reason, but I imagine I should try again, since the first time I tried was a long time ago and I've improved slightly since then. Twin Isle, though... hoo, now THAT'S a map. What an insane level. O_o

I finally beat HC. Wheh, was it ever evil. I don't have a whole lot in War Room. Just a few S's to start, many with former-Snifit Sturm.
Thank you for helping, Paratroopa.
