This should be the place to say this. I aint good at long farewells but this is why I feel I cannot stay here (lol not that anyone would give a damn):

Recently, 3-4 of my posts have been erased. I dont remember one of them, the second one was when someone wrote: "Kicks himself on the head" and I replied: "You must be flexible". Anyone can understand the joke there right? I bet there have been numerous times where many have posted similar post like that right, Im sure of it.

The recent time (a few hours ago, 12/3-2006) some admin erased my post which really ticked me off.. I notified everyone in the TAS thread: Metroid Fusion that Megafrosts Tool-Assisted-Speedrun were accepted and published. 2-3 people replied in ordinary fashion (nothing significant), comments like: great, lets check it out and a comment from TRH that my notification was off topic (had absolutely no problem with his post). 15-20 minutes later, my posts for the TAS were erased. Seriously, whoever did that must have some serious issues with me or with my TAS community. I didnt get any explanation why my posts was erased. Did I do something wrong? Did I write something inappropriate? Honest to God, I dont think so.

That being said, I want some admin to remove my account as I certainly dont like being part of a forum who deletes unharmful posts thus the censorship here is a bit awkward to say the least. I wish the best for every kind people here and especially to TRH (good luck with your run), "Sparky" and Silent_Echo.

The posts in question are currently under debate. There's some question on whether they should have been deleted or not, but if I were you, I wouldn't worry too much. I feel you've gotten the wrong impression of this community. However, you do have a point in that we (the Forum Management) should make a larger effort to let users know why we delete posts (when necessary), though we have made it clear in the rules which behaviours are acceptable or not. The rules also make it clear that off-topic posts in a Metroid section of the forum will be deleted on-sight without explanation, as is the situation with your posts.
Please realise that the community here as a whole does not feel any hostility toward you or Bisqwit's site or the TAS community. Your posts' deletions were the result of our fairly strict rules put into effect, which may have been a mistake on our part.

As for your account: it will not be deleted, as that would be exceedingly pointless. Just stop posting if you wish to leave.
Arkarian, surely there have been dozens of times when people have posted something not related to a certain thread? Why havent their posts been deleted?
See what you did was that you posted something not regarding the topic at hand. It's not like the fact that it was specifically about TAS ticked us off.

"Guys, the tas of Metroid Fusion is complete and published. Feel free to download http://bisqwit.iki.fi/nesvideos/movies.cgi?id=497 it as Im currently seeding (and will do so as long as I can) it with my 100/100 connection."

That's not related at all to Dragonfang's topic and just derails it rather than contributes. You're free to post it elsewhere where it belongs but that's not the place.

Yes, there have been dozens of times when off-topic posting has ocurred in a Metroid-related section of the forum. And yes, the moderators and administrators have deleted those posts. Every day, I delete many of said off-topic posts.
Of course, we cannot possibly delete each and every one of them, so I'm sure you could find a few examples of posts not related to the thread, but in general, our Metroid topics have only to do with the topic at hand.

Also, AngerFist, after much consideration between the Forum Management, your (and others') posts have been restored into a new topic. We feel this is the best remedy, as all we are trying to do is prevent a thread about one person's run from going off-topic. What you and others have posted is still relevant; it's just in the wrong place.
removed the now-irrelevant stuff from the new topic. in the future, try to avoid advertising in other people's topics.
Thanks for clearing that up TRH and Arkarian. I'll change the topic of this thread into something better.
l'appel du vide
Well...hmm.  I would like to point out my topic on Mother 3.  In hindsight, I find it a bit...annoying...that by simply refraining from posting the word "voilà", I could have prevented a rather large hijack.  I spent a bit of time creating the sheet music for the Mother 3 song, and...well...yeah, it's kinda smothered now.  It's not really a big deal, and I didn't really see much of a reason in saying anything about it, but, in light of this topic, I figured it might be useful to mention it.
yeah, that never would have gone down in the individual-game forums. however, per your request, i've removed it.
Not impossible
