Is it weird that the one thing making me want an Xbox One is Rare Replay? Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Perfect Dark, Jet Force Gemeni, AND Blast Corps for $30? Plus a bunch of other games that may or may not matter? That's a crazy deal that's almost irresistible.
But then I realize I'd have to get a $350 system just to play N64 games on and I rethink the matter.
Why didn't you tell me that when I started playing tooie?! It's your fault.
why would you start with tooie >_>
Because it was described here as a big adventure game while bk was described as a platformer. I said Tooie sounded good, I downloaded it, then made multiple nobody-cares posts about it for a few days. Nobody said I should start with kazooie.
anyway they're really not that different in terms of gameplay. tooie is a platformer too, it just has way more adventure game type stuff than kazooie does. but kazooie has plenty too.
I enjoy BK more because Tooie's levels feel too big and it takes too long to travel around them, IMO. I like that BK's levels are more compact and tend to fit more stuff in a smaller area.
The Superbanjo cheat mitigates it somewhat, but the 360 version (the main version of the game I was able to play on a couple years ago) doesn't let you save if you activate cheats, so.
Heh, I actually played with Superbanjo yesterday. It's my favorite way to play Tooie. But yeah, it had to be in one big session 'cause the 360 disables saving. That's just so dumb. I understand if they don't want people uploading unusually fast times to the leaderboards, but all they had to do was disable the online stuff.
I completely skipped Hailfire Peaks which felt pretty awesome (even though I like that area). I know it's possible to skip CCL instead, dunno about any other areas. Anyone got any info on that?
He's comparing it to Wind Waker, ugh. It's no comparison. The Wind Waker nerd rage was only over the graphics, which is meaningless for the gameplay quality. People hate EVERYTHING about MPFF.
I wonder if it would have gone over better if it used the hunters from Hunters, or the other hunters from Corruption. I mean, it would still be shitty, but at least some people kind of like those characters. Fucking nobody likes the federation troopers.
I would actually like that. You'd still get to play as recognizable characters, and choosing your hunter would add more gameplay variety and strategy in addition to the equipment loadouts.
But I bet what someone else said is right, you finish the game and your trooper pulls their helmet off and it's your Mii. I will puke all over my 3DS if that happens.
Actually I should make an Anthony Mii in advance just in case, to make it a REMEMBUH ME? moment.
