Do not remind me of the WW Ganondorf fight and parry attacks. Do you have ANY IDEA how long I was stuck there because I didn't realize that you couldn't kill him with a normal slash, for absolutely no reason and with no hint whatsoever? Only Other M has managed to top that for me, what with its ending having TWO such moments (PBing the Queen without ever enabling them, then pointing my stupid gun at stupid MB instead of fighting anything).
Combat in TP was easy if you had lots of hearts and all the sword moves and such, and even then it was at least more interesting than WW's auto-combat. Considering that I still took a beating against some enemies, I'm betting it gets much harder with less stuff (unlike, say, Ocarina, which I beat with 3 hearts easily).
WW's overworld beats TP's? All told, they probably have about the same amount of actual content, but at least TP's empty areas look interesting.
if that's true it seems like it's gotta be 2016 then
Quote from Toozin:
The nx needs to have an insanely strong launch. Holding off the next Mario for it is one way to help that happen.
I guarantee that Nintendo is holding off on / moving all of their Wii U games development to NX. Or at least they should (Nintendo hasn't shown much competence as of late!) Like, I would presume that Retro's next project is for NX, even if it started out for Wii U. I also would be very surprised if the new Zelda is for Wii U only. It could be a TP situation again, or just shift to the new system entirely, but that's just how disastrous the Wii U has been. It would be nice if they threw a bone for Wii U owners in the transfer to NX, but who the hell knows.
At least Nintendo's mishandling of its properties has let us laugh at dorks and their petitions.
It's annoying because a Metroid that made proper use of the Gamepad could've been really cool, but now it's seeming very unlikely that it'll actually happen. gg Nintendo.
