The Speed Gamers started streaming live video game marathons for various charity foundations in March, 2008, and have raised a combined total of [$265] thousand dollars in the past [3] years.
In celebration of [Mother's Day], they're going to have a 72 hour Metroid marathon, raising money for the [Insert charity for Japan Relief Efforts here once announced]. From [May 6th] at 6:00pm CST, to [May 9th] at 6, they are going to have the streams uploaded to their front page, including a commentator, above a flash chatroom you can use to talk to the aforementioned commentators.
[Several people] are donating [various items] to give as raffle prizes during the marathon, and more prizes are going to be announced as it gets closer.

In celebration of their second anniversary, they're going to have a 72 hour Metroid marathon, raising money for the Halton Autistic Family Support Group. From March 12th at 6:00pm CST, to March 15th at 6, they are going to have the streams uploaded to their front page, including a commentator, above a flash chatroom you can use to talk to the aforementioned commentators.
Metroid Metal is donating CDs to give as raffle prizes during the marathon, and more prizes are going to be announced as it gets closer.
Their biggest concern is filling the 72 hours. I'm pretty surprised they decided to do it BEFORE the release of Other M later this year. :^/ Other than that, they're probably gonna be finished beating the series normally by like Saturday night, and are gonna spend the rest of the time on other run types and Pinball.
