can't you keep some files under a certain size (say 1/4mb) off of 3DD? We do that at my quake site and no complaints ever from GameSpy. Also I'm finding it a bit strange that 3DD is having lines often enough that people are complaining, but I haven't seen fileplanet with lines in months.

I don't think so, and frankly, I don't want to test the people that are hosting us free of charge. This site has enough backlog work to break mine and Toozin's backs, and I don't have the time to worry about petty issues like waiting in line for media downloads. People at FilePlanet and Gamespy do it all the damn time.
Sorry if that sounded rude, but come on. I've had nothing but nit-pick complaints ever since the site opened the first time, during our downtime, and even after the reopening.
I wasn't even aware that we had any high-demand files of that size. :P
Well that's what el jacko was complaing about I dont know what file in particular he means though. Also the 3dd line system was seemingly broken earlier today. I tried a few times to download a vid and it never refreshed the window or started to download ... but just now it worked when the wait was only 1 minute.

Well then, I apologize for complaining. You really do have a very nice site. Remember, if something's really good, all people will do is complain about the little bits...
I was halfway referencing the number of times someone has complained about something, and I've fixed or done something, then the next day there's something else. One in particular that comes to mind is the edits I had to do to the main page/Maru Mari, because I guess some people can't figure out how to follow menu links to get where they need to go. -_-
Oh well, I'm through complaining here. Just for once, be satisfied with what is there is all I ask.
