3 Tank VMR

I just did a 3 tank VMR. It is now officially possible to skip the Varia Suit without using secret worlds. Horray.

Anyway, I think bartendorsparky deserves much more of the credit for this VMR than I do. I basically just copied exactly what he did in the video of his close attempt. I barely went any faster than he did except for the one new trick I threw in (which made the whole thing much more possible).

And to think I had so much trouble doing the first-ever 4-tank VMR. Nice to see you basically use the route I originally came up with though... Gotta love the ending with 1 health :P

My Windows Media Player is 5 years old and can't play these videos. I can hear what's happening but all I see is....... hippie wierdness... sorry I had to say that. Anyways it just sahows swirls of different colors and stuff so yeah.

geothermal core isnt overheated like most of magmoor, so you can take your time there, and i suppose, if you need too, refill on the boxes in the adjacent rooms.

Just get the latest update from the Windows Media Player website. It shouldn't take too long to download, and it's free.

I sort of have some doubts about whether it would be possible to get the Plasma Beam with 3 energy tanks and no Varia. :? Someone should do a Varia-less run, though. Might be interesting. Or not.

Congratulations! That is a marvelous accomplishment. Enjoy the rest of your game (will it be a 25% completed with only one additional segment ? :) ). Your playing style made the mad dash to Phendrana not look frantic, but like a walk in the park.

With the attempts that Spaky has made, I hope he is able to pull this off as well someday.
