Isn't speedrunning always a matter of time? As far as single segments or segmented runs are concerned, I like both. Segmented runs are impressive, because it's amazing to see what can be done with by perfecting anything as much as possible. Single segment runs are fun to watch, because it's amazing to see someone running through a game in a nearly perfect way without saving.
It sounds like you're much more comfortable with the SS, trans... there's not much point in using segements if you don't really spend too many tries on them. Going with what you're comfortable with will probably produce better results.
Awesome run Trans. I myself am working on a new record for 100% hard, as some of you have seen in the best times topic. After I finish with this run I might want the WTGBP to record the next one when I go for sub hour 100% hard, but I am still stuck on segment 5 (my best try has ended with 19:29 and my goal is 19:15) . How is dawgs doing with the speed runing anyway? I haven't seen him post in some time.
Yoshi, each segment in the 28:50 took a lot of retries. a lot. a lot. a lot.
to try and break it, I'd need to do a lot, lot, lot, lot, lot more retries. and that's just for a couple of seconds. so unless I find a reason to try and improve the segmented time, that's going to be the best I can do.
hey transience, congrats on the run it is a very interesting competition of you and GameCube04. it's like in Soccer for example the competition of Brazil and Argentina,or of Ronaldo and Maradona.
