Holy shit, echoes faster than prime confirmed. I'll take a look and get back to you.

EDIT:
-That first save in agon seems very out of the way, at least 15 seconds. It would make the first segment absolute hell to not use it, but it still seems out of the way.
-Have you looked at what the wormhole sw to dark beam speed difference would be? If you did that, the first save would be fine, but I don't know how it compares to this route. Also, you'd need to get the ammo expansion on the way out, which could be costly
-What was that at the start of Part 3 with the save station?
-The save before the grand abyss jump seems to take 8-10 seconds. Obviously I know why you'd want to take that one, but skipping could maybe be an option because the segment before didn't seem too hard.
-And the save between screw attack and annihilator skip is probably the biggest time waster in the run, but it's sandwiched between two extremely hard tricks, so it's up to you on that one :/
-You lose 10 energy from the energy controller bomb slot to the energy controller refill when skipping annihilator, so you don't spend as much time regaining energy.
Forgot to mention it before, the final time is about 1:01:38.

I've never timed it but it doesn't seem like it'd be that much... Guess I should check. :\

No, that's something I really need to get around to doing. If you take that route, though, you'd have to waste time going into Mining Station Access and back out into Mining Plaza if you want the MSA tank, and you wouldn't be able to get the Beam Ammo either...

I was getting the next room to load so I don't end up sitting in front of the door for several seconds.

Ugh, I hate this save. Actually I originally used it twice (the second time was after returning the energy), until I realized I could go through the save station in Agon instead of Portal Terminal. >_> It does cost a ton of time, but the Annihilator skip is pretty ridiculous...

That's pretty badass.

And I really love your route.

it is?
It's faster in the undisplayed seconds, so yeah, it pretty much is.
by "test", does that mean an actual run may be faster?
Yeah, I can't see how an actual run could possibly not be sub-1.
not evil,just hungry
kind of wish I knew the mp2 sw's better so that I could actually help with the route.

I'm guessing seekers first doesn't save time due to the 4-5 mins lost doing ILS a second time.  Current placement with light suit seems really natural anyway.

Chykka earlier sounds good on paper, but it doesn't seem to help.  All of the temple keys are out of the way and you'll still want light suit for the full collectathon.  You only go past 1 key before it anyway.  idk, just seems unfortunate that the first 7 segments are a series of crazy sequence breaks and the last 7 are collecting required items.  unavoidable i guess.

at least this route will go sub 1 with ~30 sec lost on ds4 and another ~20 sec of small mistakes.

overall, simply amazing test run.  looking forward to seeing the fully polished product.

who's the usual suspect?

And if someone says Kaizer Soze... so help me...

Um, yeah. I roughly timed this to be around 1:30 faster than in-bounds; a few issues though:

1. I no longer have an energy tank and Beam Ammo right along my path. I need 3 tanks in order to survive the Annihilator skip wallcrawl, so I either need to grab the Mining Station Access tank then backtrack out into Mining Plaza, or take the bottom route in Sanctuary and grab the tank down there. I'm assuming the former would be far faster, though it'd be great if someone could somehow think of an alternative.

As for the Beam Ammo, it may be best to just go without one. :\ Getting it after Sanctuary would waste a bunch of time (and would require scanning the gate in Mining Station A open), and the others seem to waste too much time; I guess the best contender would be the Watch Station expansion, though I doubt it can be gotten fast enough. Chykka without a Beam Ammo expansion would completely suck, though...

2. Every single time I fought DS1 after the wallcrawl, the initial missile didn't stun her. I don't know if they're related or if I was just unlucky every time. :\ If it does turn out to be connected then I'll have to find a different strat for hitting her with the PB, which will likely cost some time.

why not grab the one in mining station access before you go into the SW (if im right the other two you need are in storage cevren B and on the way to SA)

other then chykka beam ammo i shouldnt be a problem but for the fight with chykka if you get lucky with ammo refills you should lose much if any time

Edit: The Watch Station Beam Ammo costs about 20 seconds. That's probably a bit too high to be save time... But honestly, even if it does end up costing me a small amount of time in the end, it'd probably be worth it just for the convenience.
hm may it safes time when you get the seeker launcher at the beginning of the game?

I've tested it, Seekers first is slower.
love the start of that post. "hm may it safes" ftw
