Ok so now I have 99/100 pickups.  I have a few questions:

1) Do scans count in the final percent?
2) Are there any pickups on Phaaze? 

I got the thing from Chozo Observatory where you can see the aquired and unaquired item locations, and I've looked everywhere, but I can't find the last one.  When I had 97/100, i could've sworn i counted 3 dots on pirate homewrold.  if they're not there, there are 3 possible locations:
1) Olympus, if I missed one there I'm screwed,
2) Valhalla, as the dots don't appear there, and
3) Phaaze.

So, can anyone offer me some advice?

Have you checked Bryyo Ice? You need to actually go there to see the map and there are a couple pick ups there.

just highly unlikely
The Olympus pickups are all way out in the open and pretty much impossible to miss. Phaaze doesn't have any. I'd say Bryyo Ice is your best bet, but failing that the Vallhala is small with only a few pickups so it should be easy to check it against a FAQ.

yep you're right.  I was thinking of that place, but my miscounting of the dots on pirate homeworld kept me from doing so.  Special ending unlocked!
