Why don't you just do this?: ( ; Then it would be your left eye being winked, although it does look pretty weird.

Anyway, yeah, human runners have tried it, but it's only been a few people. The majority of SB'ers haven't had the chance to try it yet.

Just spent a good 2+ hours attempting this...no luck. Never even managed to hold the charge long enough to pass through the door. When Ekarderif/WD said PIXEL PERFECT, they weren't kidding.

I might give it a few more shots later on tonight or tomorrow, but I'm not 100% convinced this is humanly possible...so it's probably best left for Sess :P

EDIT: Got Kridly and Ekard mixed up Embarassed

Pixel perfect is needed in the charge, all 3 landings, release, and even the wall-jump. The wall-jump was actually surprising because I managed to shave the final frame simply by changing where I wall-jumped exactly. I'm not sure how precise is necessary for it, but I've always done it when the back of Samus's head just hits the middle of the bar on the wall to the left. Yeah... :P. If someone could figure out where to save more frames, this trick would be a lot more manageable.

I don't suppose it's possible to use GC04's trick coming from the right and ducking/charging on the ledge opposite the lowest stretchy...? It doesn't look like there's quite enough room to jump onto that ledge while boosting without hitting something, but it might be worth a try.

I'd have to agree with what someone said earlier: I've seen a lot of strange stuff on this site, but that takes the cake. This takes Fusion to a whole new level in a way: The only one of the Metroid games with 0%! (And I thought getting 1% was crazy... Shocked

) Congrats to everyone who helped pull off this "Impossible" feat.

Hehe, I wonder how the people at Nintendo would react if they knew Fusion had been broken like this... Wink

Well, they probably saw the 1% coming form the very start, but I doubt they'd ever thought it would broken to 0%.

I don't know how many of you are trying this on the cartridge, but the farthest I can ever get is to the top of the room before the door. I'm not perfect at Fusion's control though, so I don't know if I am just lucky, or if someone else has gotten farther than that.

I was thinking though, is there a way to hit the barrier from here (Meaning that you wouldn't hit the ceiling above it) if you could shark through the door from the top of the tall room? I doubt it would work, but if you could shark at the exact height of the floor, you could possibly come VERY close. (I don't know how much room they give you above Samus for this sort of thing, so I have no clue how low below the celing you could be sharking)

I've only been trying this for less than 30 mins though, so I may not be the best one to try this. My control in Fusion is very poor compared to what I've seen/heard from many of you. Anything that can help you guys out is worth it for me though. Wink

On a side note (Off Topic), I just got a shock while typing this: I had my GBA on the desk next to me, with some headphones attached to it. I think I must've bumped the cable connecting the headphones (Which were around my neck) and the GBA, since the next thing I know my GBA flew off the desk and landed screen first on the floor! Shocked

It seems fine, but the scary part is that the cartridge seemed to pop out a little, BUT the game continued to run! (Phew: THAT was close!)

Thirty minutes? Jeez, I admire your dedication. If I had any sort of ub3r-1337 skillz at this game, I'd be trying it too, but alas, I have nothing of the sort. So, good luck to everyone trying this...I'm really anxious to see if someone can do it.

I don't have any skill at this either (As I mentioned) but it's mainly since I have nothing else better to do at this time. Plus, I have a vacation coming up where I plan to play every Metroid game in chronological order. Wink

I bet after I do that (This will be the first time I've done this I think) I will truly be able to tell how much skill/love I have for each game. Wink

Anyway though, I doubt I would be the only one trying this: If someone finds a way to accomplish it on the cart, this may turn out to be the biggest SB ever for the series.

It's not possible to spark from the first room through the barrier. Even if you get it perfect so Samus it almost touching the floor, you still need to be one "block" lower, because you have only one "block" of room, and Samus is two "blocks" tall.

Yeah, I found that one out since currently I am able to Shark from the previous room, only to hit the ceiling right next to the barrier... Evil or Very Mad

Too bad we can't Shark in morph ball mode, or else this would be SO much easier to do (And Nintendo would've probably noticed this, so what would be the point?)

Basically, it seems that if someone can SOMEHOW get into the room fast enough, that appears to be the only way we can pull it off.
