With Wassup Dawgs going Sess style and cracking down the game like mad, inevitably he's going to try to skip the "mandatory" Missile Expansion right? His fast thinking led him to this situation: http://www.metroid2002.com/wassupdawgs/Skip1missileprogress.avi with about 10 frames off. Since he wasn't good at frame-by-frame analysis, everyone (well, only Nate but whatever) decided to volunteer me for the task of cutting off 10 frames. Much to my amazement, it happened so here it is: the first, last, and only sequence break ever in Fusion, courtesy of Wassup Dawgs and myself:

Keep in mind, this trick is the epitome of pixel perfect. I doubt this'll ever be doable on the cartridge. I barely managed to get this after countless save states and such (I sparked at the last pixel possible). All wall-jumps were as precise as possible as well as the shine charge.
Now I'm off to beat Fusion once more. Yes, I keep saying I've retired but now I have a reason to... one... last... time.
Edit: interesting bug. The "mandatory" Missile Expansion disappears: http://www.metroid2002.com/ekarderif/missile_expansion_bug.avi
