hanging off the lowest ledge activates the fight, so do that, then go into morph ball form on the little sticky outy bit, and he wont be able to hit you! :D

You can also get back to the door by wall jumping into him as he is in the air, then grabbing the ledge and climbing up.

You can wall-jump bosses? Wouldn't that just hurt you and make you fall down?
ive gotten back up to the door before, but its locked, and you take a lotta damage getting up there, adn you cant even hurt the boss until you go back down
In the Serris fight, if you sit on the second from left tile at the bottom of the pool charging your beam, Serris has only one way of hitting you, and it can be easily dodged by going Morph Ball. It also gives you a free shot at his face, since the charge beam fires when you morph!
Fusion is full of boss-safe spots, more than any of the other games (Super Metroid had a few). Its one of the things I love about it though, because like most video games, everything is a pattern you have to get used to...but in most video games if you need to you can bypass the pattern for straight up in your face blasting...in Fusion, if you don't figure out and follow the pattern almost perfectly (with a small margain for error, but not as much as average), you're dead kiddo. I love it. It makes it in a sense the easiest game because of the simplicity of the patterns, but also one of the hardest, if not THE hardest, because even the simplest patterns seem really complex before you can figure them out, and you're getting you ass stomped in the meantime. I didnt have any trouble with Fusion until the very end...the SA-X stomped me because her pattern of movement is so specific, and I only had five energy tanks, because I was so excited to get through the game I kind of ignored them until the end....when all the doors are locked. Needless to say it took me about 30 tries to finish the game. It catches you off guard, thinking its gonna be easy like most of the rest of the game...and then you're just beat down by...yourself...lol
