Post preview:I would go for a PS3. The only selling point to the X360 used to be RPGs, which have all been upgraded for ths PS3 by now. The PS3 also isn't as fuck expensive anymore and the X360 seems to be the most easyily breaking consolse I have ever seen.
I think the PS3 gets all action and FPS games the X360 has too, the only exclusive genre seem to be shmups which are almost all exclusive to microsoft's console.
our brain practically shuts off because the TV is doing all of the thinking for you.
I can imagine that being true considering the "usual people" don't even seem to be too selective about what they watch, not to mention how they seem even unable to give some thought about whatever they're watching.

Sounds like you're going to waste your money. I guess it's too late but I would have recommended reading a short convo I had with Toozin about this game.
Post preview:Right before the backtrack for the Seeker Missiles is where I also stopped playing months ago. Don't think I'll be picking up Echoes again too soon ...
Secret of Mana is getting better every minute. I'm loving the oldschool difficulty with no heal/save points in dungeons and rather tough bosses. I'm now inside the seasons forest.
Post preview:Started Secret of Mana with an experienced friend yesterday. The game's actually fun to play now and I feel motivated to go on with my single-player file.
