Post preview:A few years back they tried to pass a quota so that schools had to serve less junk food. It didn't really go through though, or the lobby found a loophole to still serve junk to children. I forgot which it was.
Post preview:That obesity is such a common problem just shows how stupid and lazy people are if you ask me. None of the overweight people I know do sports regularly or watch their diet. Everyone living in a first world country who isn't mentally disabled should know that stuff is only good for their health... yet everyone's lazy and blames their genes on health issues lol
Post preview:I always eat my cereals cold with milk - Didn't even know there was a way of eating it in a hot state. I'll have to look into that.
Gotta look for alternatives for milk anways. I hear the older you get the less your body can handle milk...though that's different from person to person.
Post preview:Played the samurai in NG+ until I got the Chaos Blade. It's cool and sure is the strongest katana in the game, but I'm not sure if I'll be good at offsetting the lifedrain side effect. Health regen is super slow, and the Ring of the Evil Eye doesn't restore enough health if enemies take more than one hit... and in NG+ that's most enemies.
So I started another chatracter - knight with focus on faith and later on int as well to make use of dark spells. The game plays so much smoother now that I'm back into it. I feel like I won't even take half the time it took me beating the game with the first character (which took me approximately 83 hours).
Royal rat vanguard is my favorite boss with this kind of character. Soul appease instantly killed all the rats that spawned in the beginning, and the boss itself only took three hits with my ultra greatsword to take down.
Btw the Sinner's Sword is pretty cool! I'm using it instead of the Zwei since it has way more raw damage, which is ideal since I'm not pushing STR and DEX much. Like the Chaos Blade it has a lifedrain side effect, but it kills most enemies in one blow so it's not so bad yet.
That's what I was about to call it. But it's a broad term, referring to various foods akin to muesli so I wanted to avoid it. At least there's an english wikipedia article named muesli that is about the kind of cereal I was referring to.
Quote from Poision Envy:
cereal, or just "oatmeal" is how I've always heard it here.
Oh, yeah! Oatmeal rings a bell with me. Duh.
Quote from Idkbutlike2:
One thing I've grown to hate over the years is fruity kids cereal.
That's why I wanted to avoid calling oatmeal cereals :/ I can't stand that stuff either anymore. Even the non fuity stuff... what's with all the excess sugar in those things? And people have their children it this for breakfast?!
Post preview:I always have either muesli, bread and butter or both for breakfast. Never had a problem with that and I've never felt like stuffing myself with anything heavy in the morning.
These days I eat so often I hardly know the feeling of having an empty stomach. I drink tea all the time, but avoid coffee. I'm not sure how large the difference in caffeine in those drinks is, but when I drink coffee I'm sure to have a hard time falling asleep that night.
Post preview:I didn't know you could get minced meat with that low on fat. No idea what my parents use, but I highly doubt it's as low on fat as the type you used. They use the cheapest stuff they can get.
Post preview:How did you screw up making burgers? Even the ones my parents make, and they aren't very good cooks, are way tastier than the shit you get at certain big-name junk food joints.
Some buddies wanted to grab lunch and hang out so we got some taco bell. An hour later I just feel miserable and my somtomach hates me. Is this what happens when you grow up? To be fair I haven't eaten taco bell in like a month.
I was even younger than you are now when my stomach started getting weak. That's getting old, yeah.
Post preview:I once suffered severe pain during a train ride. At some point my vision blurred so badly I could pretty much see nothing anymore and right after I had a fit of tinitus so bad I couldn't even hear the train's noises anymore.
My guess it that was some kind of nervous breakdown because I was afraid of breaking down in public.
Post preview:Finally beat all the DLC bosses. Here are my impressions:
Aava: I only fought this with a bunch of phantoms, and it had tons of HP and dfesen. I hope it goes down quicker if you go in there solo, because otherwise that boss is just a pain.
Ivory King: My first impression was pretty good, but since I fought him over and over that has changed a lot. His moveset is too limited. I guess that's because half the boss fight is fighting regular enemies, but that's not much of a problem if you have all the loyce knights rescued.
Two pets: I don't see myself ever attempting this without the help of phantoms. Not much to say since it's just two Aavas at once >_>
Fume Knight: This is pretty much a better Ivory King in my opinion. His animations still didn't impress me much and I felt like fighting humanoid bosses was getting old.
Sir Alonne: This one was surprisingly great. Even though I felt bored of humanoid bosses after the Fume Knight, fighting Alonne was still exciting. Too bad there's a whole area of enemies you pretty much have to clear in order to fight him.
Smelter: Isn't this the exact same fight as the one in Iron Keep? The reward is pretty cool, I'd be cooler if you could get it much earlier on and easier though.
Elana: Not sure what to think of the thing where she just spawns Velstadt. Because of that, I just pummeled her to death with a bunch of phantoms on my second try.
NPC trio: I went into the cave of the dead with a couple of phantoms, and thank god I didn't die. What a horrible place (and boss).
Sinh: Not a fan. Although I love Kalameet, this one's just wasting too much of my time flying around airborne. I never managed to dodge the thing where it breathes fire while flying at me, and had issues with the swipes it does with its claws. So I eventually started attacking it in its back area, which worked pretty well. This battle portraits really well how much they nerfed stamina in Souls II. First time in the game I used one of those rings that increase your total stamina. :|
All in all I feel pretty meh about the bosses. The DLC areas however are a lot of fun for the most part.
Darklurker and the final boss are all that's left for me to beat now.
