Post preview:How's the DLC in TEW? I'm not purchasing the game anytime soon, but I'll eventually need to know whether I should get the base game for cheap or a version that comes with all the DLC.
Post preview:Two people are playing DkSII with one controller at SGDQ right now. They just died to NG+ The Rotten, with the boss 1 hit away from dying. Although they had lots of time to kill the boss, the guy handling the movements tried to run away while the other guy pressed a button to finish the boss. Naturally that didn't go well lol
Post preview:There are two bonfires in Blighttown. One's at the very bottom close to the boss. Actually, almost all bosses have bonfires very close to them. Iirc there's only one boss for which that isn't the case.

death sets you back to the last bonfire (which are far too scarce)
They're all over the place. :/ Not to mention there are a lot of shortcuts you can unlock to make travelling more comfortable.

That game looks so cool but it sounds SO frustrating.
It's fine, you just need to play with attention and care. It's frustrating if you don't do that, though. I'm a super chill person and even I've verbally cursed at the games a few times.
I always recommend to play Demon's Souls first though. It's a good introduction to the series because it's got the most accessible lore and story, best atmosphere, and is less open in the beginning so it might be the best for beginners to get a feel for the gameplay.
Started a blog about game analysis and stuff, may as well plug it. Latest post is somewhat about Metroid games.
I don't think Dark Souls discourages the player from exploring its worlds. If the player feels that way, they're merely too afraid of dying. The game is also rather fair, you can always retrieve your souls on a second attempt. And if you've made it to spot X once, one has to assume to assume that you can make it there again under more favorible conditions.
Post preview:I watched my first pewdiepie video today. Well, the first 40 seconds or so of it anyways. It sure left me dumbfounded. The guy just shouted random shit into his mic, like he had some severe mental disorder. But that gets him millions? Shit.
You can't even argue saying his fans are all kids. That only makes it worse. In what kind of world do kids dictate how adults should act?
...Was my line of thought until I realized this shit isn't anything new. The guys's just a (super rich) clown. Literally. lol
Been playing a lot of NES lately, mostly childhood games I've been meaning to replay. Plus some stuff I only got to try recently.
I never had a NES as a kid, and as far as I can remember all I ever played on it as a kid was the first SMNB about once.
Never played the Zelda games either... or for not for long. In total I've maybe spent 10 minutes on both Zelda I & II. Something I should definitely change some day.
