I'll explain my thinking first.
I am not a fan of the 3D thing, but I can see that it's where we're going, so I'm keeping an eye on things, just to see how it's progressing. As far as I understand it, all current 3D stuff involves the old dual-image merge through coloured glasses.
I'm never one to rush out for new tech, mainly due to the prices, so I was happy to take a back seat. Then I recently saw the whole 3DS thing, which showed that glasses really weren't necessary, and my instant thought was 'it'd be great if they could transfer that to everything else, and not just the small screen of a handheld system.'
Then I was provided with this link, which as I understand it shows just what I was thinking about.
In closing, or in short for those that didn't read the waffle: Is this already the beginning of the end for current 3D TVs, as they'll soon be superceded, or do you reckon it'll swing another way?
