As long as this simplified scale exists solely for the purpose of rating this game and no other, I would call it a 9.  It's a damn good pinball game and they really do the whole metroid theme quite well.  I consider it a must for any metroid fan.

The flesh is spongy and bruised
I love it. The physics are great, and as a result it feels like an natural pinball machine, made out of rocks and stuff. Would be better with the rumble pack, and lack of content loses it marks. 8/10

I liked the pokemon pinballs better, I beat the career (or whatever its called on this game) within 1 hour (unintentional speedrun or just lack of content) and after that I didn't feel any need to pick it up ever again. While I still like the first pokemon pinball Embarassed

either pokemon pinballs have less content gameplay-wise than mpp. what sets them apart and gives more replayability to pp is the pokemon collecting. remove that and it is even shorter than mpp.

That shouldn't be relied upon for the quality of a game, Super Metroid is easily completed sub-hour, it's still a great game though.
