the point of this wasn't to skip wave beam (i very, very highly doubt that will ever be even close to possible); it was to skip varia by getting wave early somehow.
off the top of my head if you can get lifegiver somehow without wave beam (that part is easy, you also have to get back out), i think you should be able to at least get up to mp without it. i remember the other clutch thing being you had to be able to escape from control tower, but with how well secret worlds work these days that should be possible. i remember messing around with that back in the day and think the rest is figured out...
heh lifegiver's the reason i doubt it so much. i played around with it a bit but of course getting the artifact triggers the cutscene that pops you back into the room. doesn't seem like there's any way in hell to get out of that room without wave.
just a thought but hasn't there been a strange effect when getting an artifact from use of IS. I want to say it was when getting the artifact in the Hall of Elders(name of room is likely wrong) with IS you didn't need the ice beam to get back out or something. Maybe something similar can be done with lifegiver using a sticky wall from a secret world to do the IS glitch.
i had an idea but wasn't able to test it because i couldn't get into tower chamber so i could actually get lifegiver so w/e. basically get in there from a secret world while the map says tower of light, get IS in the room using a sticky wall, unmorph, fire a missile, wait a little bit, walk into the artifact, and just walk out. dunno if opening doors like that is exclusive to corruption or not but this is pretty much the perfect spot to test it.
I have been thinking about this alot. Is it possible to get to Morph Ball Bombs without Missiles? I mean, get in the secret world in the first room in Chozo Ruins, I think its Main Quarry..? Anyway, get in that Secret World, and wallcrawl all the way there. Maybe this could get us Morph Ball. That would drop a percent. Has anyone tested this?
oh bad ass. didn't know you could actually leave ruined shrine without picking up a missile expansion.
edit: whoops, i misread the video description (didn't bother watching the video). so it's just like i thought - this is pointless because you still need to get a missile expansion to leave r.shrine. :/
