anyone know a fairly consistent way to load hote from the ice door without triggering the ghost fight? i don't start the fight only something like 30% of the time, and i'm not really sure what i'm doing wrong heheh. might end up just trying to brute force this part of the segment, but hopefully it doesn't come to that!

IIRC you have to be outside the fight trigger while the room loads. Not sure what are exactly the limits of the trigger. I think you have to stand at the left side of the ice door (facing the door).

thanks oliver, i [kind of] figured it out. segment was actually a lot faster than i thought it'd be, though you can probably still shave off 10 seconds or so... anyway, if i continue at the pace i'm going compared to my expected times, the end time might [MIGHT] be 1:00. that'd be cool. (note: i'm still expecting 1:01, however).

I've been meaning to ask for a while: Why aren't dashes ever used in secret worlds? Is it that it's not possible to lock on from the secret worlds or that it just isn't safe or faster to use them?

The scan points will not show up. Also, morph ball travel is rarely usable for a speed run since most ceilings are sticky.

That segment really made the ice door ibbf look easy. Nicely done.
