This is a thread where you can post your time/space beam locations and what happened. Sometimes you get some really weird stuff!

For example, (sorry, no screenshot)

In the first vertical shaft in Brinstar, jump on top of the block with the bug thing crawling on it. Ready the time/space beam, and wait until the bug is under you to fire. When you fire, the normal thing will happen but you will fall through the block and hit the bug. Then, for some reason, you get teleported to the top of the elevator and you start coming down again. Everything is reset as normal.

Well, go ahead, experiment. Post what you find here.  :P

Hmmm. Has anyone tried the Space/time beam in the space station?

I think it should be noted that this should be done via emulator.  Because: doesn't this have the potential to....

damage your SNES Cartridgeaiwebs_016

I did that on Snes9x, but since Snes9x emulates the SpaceTime Beam almost perfectly (unlike ZSNES), it might as well have been done on an actual SNES.

ZSNES has a lot of problems emulating the SpaceTime beam. The glitch where you use the SpaceTime Beam to blow up Zebes is one of these problems. Another problem it has is that when you use it, there's a GOOD chance that when you fall under the floor, the screen will scroll with you and take you into a pit of 1/4 Power Bomb doors, preventing extensive use of the Reset Glitch. I have also witnessed a problem after using the reset glitch and saving where you can't open your file anymore (instead of starting you over at Ceres with all your items the game just goes black and stays that way after picking Start Game) but that might have been a one-time thing on Snes9x; I forget which emu I did it on :|

I know I read it somewhere.  Maybe at GameFAQs...? :-?  But it said (something like) doing it could corrupt your game cartidges memory.  I don't know if that has to do with your game saves, or the game itself.  :-s

i cant think of a game cartridge with modifiable game code.. but i'm not an expert at this matter...

besides, rom means read-only-memory, right?

Yep, the ROM can't be written by any of its commands, only read.

Haha, cool video. Some interesting glitchiness there. Haven't been to Metroid2002 recently, but it's cool to see my idea inspired you to check it out.
