Thats pretty good rekameohs, only eight more minutes to shave off and you tie my test run and by the way i did use the same route you are using, i thought that was the logical way to go in an any%.
******** -Best time low-% 22%: 3.39 -Normal mode -Minimal possible items -PAL versio ************************
-Yeah i finally completed normal mode low-% run. This is my best time as well. I don,t try insane speed here, but yeah i trying as well memorize that route.
-Acutally this challenge was pretty easy, i don,t died very much. I remember i died only three time against bosses: Rundas: 1x death Gandyrayda: 1x death Aurora unit: 1x death (stupid purple beam caused this)
Skyway acces W/O hazard shield was hardest room in the game, took me at least 10 deaths.
Probably i try Veteran 22% challenge in the future or any-% normal speedrun (hopefully sub 3 hours)
i used a few SBs like skipping one turret and the 2 energy cells. overall it was an average 1st attempt. the run is technically 2 segments only since i played from the beginning to the start of elysia when i finished my hypermode file and then i went from there to the end today.
next i'll do veteran 100% and then a new normal any%
the funniest thing is now quick bosses were dying. hyper mode really strengthened my skills here. i was laughing most of the time because of how fast the bosses were dying, especially dark samus.
normal should be labeled easy since it has no challenge virtually.
********* Best time: 2.53 Normal mode 33% items (6et 35m) PAL versio **************
-This run is done very well. -I use some speedtrick and sequence breaks here. -I get Map without grapple in Bryyo. -Jungle turret skip -Elysia berserker lord speedtrick (both bsj:s managed without dying) Weird Berserker quick kill trick (read my topic what i create couple days ago)
-Command cortyard shortcut -Hazard shield skip
-Fast boss fights here. -I use alot checkpoints and deaths. Ingame timer doesn,t counts deaths.
-I get screenshot too. Probably i try paste that later if i have enought time. Last time this took almost 3 hours change right size. This new metroid2002 site you cannot paste too big screenshots.
I am very happy with this. So good time IMO. Only 19 minutes slower than WR. Yeah and Berserker lord skip doesn,t work on PAL. This is my 5th completion.
Actually i died only one time in Phaaze. But no deaths against last bosses. Actually AU-head was no damage battle. I have perfect luck. Boss never shot quad lasers or rolling around area. Two hardest attack and i avoid both.
LAst room before Dark samus took me one death. I am pretty sure this is one versio difference too. I think on PAL versio bug is twice longer. I need 3 full charge blast +2normal charge shots and lot regular phazon fire against him. Just in Paraxade video it looks like easy. Only 3 charge blast and all in over very fast. Probably i shot my charges wrong, but i still guess this is one versio difference. :-s
I don,t have much trouble here. Biggest touble was when i trying speedrun here. I suck bsj:s and i still have little trouble memorize that route. Omega Ridley was too hard beat very fast. I beat this in 10 minutes and i still died 2-3 times.
Skyway acces i beat this my first attempt. Thanks Craztad any-% normal test run. You don,t need kill last enemys here, this was new and very helpfull thing.
Actually this is best Veteran 22% time in this site., I remember Prime hunter got 5 minutes slower time. I am very happy with this.
Still i think i don,t have enought skill go through hyper 22% yet. I guess this is too hard yet.
EDIT** 5.3.08. I paste screenshots too. I have good time right now.

A quote from me on october 23 of last year
Quote:
If it does come down to needing a run on normal or veteran mode first, i have a single segment 2:56 any% recorded on normal and a 3:19 single segment low% recorded on veteran mode.
So, at 5:47 PM, I finish my Veteran game at... 5:47.
Veteran, 48%
The run was a little speed run, obsession on completing medals, and difficulty experimentation. I did skip the hazard shield, as well. After I finish hypermode I'll start going all speed run.
A lot of gratuitous stalling here. Definitely didn't help that Chozo Observatory was the last location I came to after manually collecting all expansions on Norion, Bryyo and Elysia. :(
Saving end mission screens on the Wii message board will be useful for observing how personal speedruns have progressed over time.
Hyper, 100%, 12:33. I left my Wii idle for a bit, so I guess it'd be more like 9-10 hours. I was also learning speed tricks that run, which doesn't help things. Damn Phaaze took me four hours or so. Definitely the hardest Metroid challenge I've had yet.
I plan to record a hyper mode 22% run on youtube since I need to get some more MP3 vids up and paraxade took down his account. I'll also likely be a speedrun competitor for this game, I'll get a test run done as soon as I learn to do BS jump sequence breaks.

Paraxade's account my not be on youtube anymore but all the vids are still on his filefront account. And the best of luck running this game, It needs all the competitors it can get to help push the time down even further.
Maybe it's time for me to get off and say this: on my Normal run, it was 12:45, 88% that was a couple of months ago (always on a non-guided Metroid run, I always get 3/4 of the items on my first tun)
Greetings Corruption friends! I have read much about a hyper mode speedrun and sometimes it even seems that some of you already has recorded one. In that case I wonder if they can be found somewhere because I am very curious to see them.
Ok, since I've seen people going to that listing of speed run times in the wiki a lot in the last few weeks/months, I decided to try and update it as much as possible to take into account everything that's happened. It may not be 100% accurate, but it's a lot better than it used to be.
Normal mode 100% in 3:36 actually sounds pretty good. If these proportions mean anything, the Prime run is 26% slower than 100%, whereas the Corruption one is 29%, so sub 3:30 seems like a reasonable goal for whoever tries 100% for SDA. Vet could use some work, since the Vet and Hyper records shouldn't match. Other than that, looks quite a bit better than what it was before hunter updated it, though hyper mode 100% shouldn't be more than 4:30. Last, I might have a shot at beating lild7hina's 3:38 in hyper, though I'm not betting on it.
