Screw attack does seem more potent as a weapon in prime 3... it seems to do a lot of damage to regular enemies at least- I can't think of many things it damages that it doesnt one-shot, at least on normal.

30%, 2:43, Normal. 2Cing the Aurora Unit is possible. I shot it with a hyper missile as soon as I pulled off the thing, then started charging a charge shot. As soon as I got a clear shot I fired it (it's a partial shot), then immediately followed with another Hyper Missile. Took it down to about 1/3 health, the following cycle finished it.

Excellent time!  Shocked  8-) I reckon that sub 2hrs could be the equivilant of sub 1hr on MP1 (based on current findings obviously).

Fingers crossed we find more timesavers/major SB's in the coming months. :D

100%, Normal, 4:40

I just took my any% run and did one major cleaning sweep without planning or saving, so there is a lot of room for improvements there.

Also, just thought I'd mention this but in a 100% run you can't skip the Turret in Bryyo. There's a Ship Missile Expansion in between the 2 turrets, and you can't reach it without triggering the gamebreaking cutscene if you do the 2nd turret backwards. Actually, now that I think of it, you could do like kip mentionned a few days ago and do it backwards, but trigger the cutscene before you blow up the turret...

You can still skip it, just trigger the cutscene then destroy the turret, then keep going backwards until you get the ship missile, then go back the way you came until you get back to Jungle Generator.

03:06 (22%) Normal - Interestingly enough, I was nine minutes faster than my last run through, even with the low% factored in.

Edit: Oh, and I found that the fastest way to completely destroy Dark Samus on Normal is to spam the beam button. No missiles, no charges. Just the beam button as fast as you can. (But charging shots during the time when she's recharging seems to work just fine.) Took her down to 1/2 health before the mini-cutscene and her first attempt at recharging, which also skipped the clone cutscene. She was stuck in a cycle where I would hit her enough, she'd spin around and send the two clones and herself into the air to recharge, and because of how quickly I was damaging her she went right back to the center and began the recharge cycle.

By doing that it took less than a minute for that part of the battle I'd imagine.

Shaved another 50 mins off my time, at a higher difficulty... I had a terrible time with part one of the Aurora Unit... it was just being a real bastard overall...

Not feeling quite up to hypermode yet, so I may try to start incorporating some tricks into my run to shave off some time.

Do I get any awards for having what looks like by far the worst completion time here? lol

So you ended with 199 energy and 5 missiles, correct? Did you accidently pickup a Ship Missile expansion somewhere along the line?

Evil or Very Mad For some reason I thought the ship missile between the generators on Bryyo was mandatory...  Oh well, at least I can improve my time for the next one :)

Finished it, at long last.  With work and grad school and stuff I haven't been able to really sit and play the way I'd like to, so I've spent some time dabbling here and there.  My hope is that I've accomplished some sort of record for having the longest completion time on here:

Normal
24:20
88%

That's a little better than my very first ever Prime run, but then again, with that one I decided to just take forever and get 100%.  This time I'm 12% shy of that and it still took me forever.  Oh well, it was a good time :D  I'd start another run, but have papers to grade and papers to write.  See you next mission!

Finally managed to complete my Veteran 22% run with a final time of 03:29.

Omega Ridley took me literally three hours or so before I defeated him. Evil or Very Mad Found out you can use Grapple Voltage on him during the first phase and collect back about 50 energy before he breaks free. (When you grapple onto him to break his armor off, pull BACK with the grapple. If you don't and accidently push FORWARD you'll be dead very quickly as you give up all of your energy to him in a matter of a few seconds.) Saved me a lot of later trouble by not having to wait forever for the recharges from the fireballs, at least as much as I would've had to otherwise.
