to do early Kraid. All you have to do is start dashing, then jump over to the platform. I can't make a video of this, but it's not hard, so you should be able to do it.

To me the edge climb is far too easy to really worry about anything else. And this is coming from a guy who still cannot successfully perform a dash jump.

I figured out the edge-climb on my own. I jumped from the small ledge on the lower left and made it up from there. You mean there's a way of jumping all the way there without wall-jumping?

Its actually possible to make it into kraid's lair with little to no delay if you use this method:

Come into the norfair elevator shaft room (from red brinstar) in mockball form, make sure supers are activated

Tap jump to quickly unmorph and at the same time, quickly fire just before you stand up all the way, it should hit the bottom block.

Fire again quickly to hit the middle block.

Hold R and shoot the top block and there you go. No delay. Just run and jump across.
