I'd say I'm one step ahead of you but I tend to take leaps, so I'm either far behind or far ahead. Lot's has been fixed but since I proclaimed I had the final version, no one will be seeing these changes till my project is complete, and it won't be one room.

... now I'm stuck after supers in the area with the blue gate. There's nowhere to leave and I bombed everything. Even used some grapple. I can only leave with pb's, which I don't have, or with a short charge, which I reeeeallly don't want to do. I'm really frustrated with this hack. It's really fun and has superb level design, but the paths themselves are so hard to find.

EDIT: Oh, and easy didn't help either.

I just got speed booster and the energy tank, but everything seems like a dead end. I got out of the area rekameohs was talking about (doesn't seem to be anything to do there yet except kill yourself), but my options seem to be an inaccessible speedball tunnel or a long bomb course in the roof that leads to an empty item ball. Help?

Forget the area around the empty item ball. I think that's where charge beam used to be, but it was removed. Instead, head for the left exit of the "Cathedral." There are some hidden grapple blocks involved. It's a path to the blue gate. Once you open the gate, you can jump across the room to the speed ball tunnel.

Interesting way to get there. It was originally intended that you need to quick spark and do a midair horizontal shinespark to get them. I wonder how you could get them simply by lowering your health because there is another row of speedblocks behind the powerbomb blocks. Depends what version you were playing I guess.

Try wall jumping up the shaft. The blocks at the top look solid, but you can pass through them from below.

Can't you just short charge, roll under, and spark out? You just have to do a 2-tap charge, not the full Hotarubi-style one.

I have collected

the power bombs from the speedball area and the ones near the fake gray door. I assume there is a third pack and the end of the game has something to do with Crystal Flashing, but I can't find the third PB.

Can someone point me thataways?

Short charge (there's enough space), morph and roll under the gate, un-morph then shine spark up.

slowdown should just be the "-" key, and speed up is the "=" key.

Awesome! However all I see is samus mucking around the ship area. I used the ips patch you provided too. Hmm. Come to think of it that's all I've seen with any TAS you make. I use SNES9X, something I'm doing wrong?

Wow that's an odd version. I'd assume he's using either 1.43 Improvement9 or 1.51. But you'll have to wait for him to confirm which. 1.43 Improvement9 is the one popular among TASers though.
