i'd say this version can look quite fluid to run because of the spring ball. outside that, it is very gimped.

at this rate, the game will come out in US/Europe by year's end lol..

if that happens, that would be the stupidest move Nintendo has done in a long time. why wouldn't they re-release the games in the territories that gave them the most sales before and in the area where it was MADE? there's some serious ass-backwards decision making there, especially at NOA (check out how america's schedule is worse than PAL land's schedule)

Nintendo would be making one of the biggest mistakes in their history by not releasing the Prime games and Chibi Robo. Btw, is there any word on multiplayer in Prime 2?

In a couple/few ways, for English anyway.  While a weak excuse, perhaps they're muddling over which pieces of the various versions to use?

There are certain things in the japanese version are in English by default.

at the earliest, we'll know by june 11th when the japanese version comes out. my guess is that it will be the same + pointer controls.

I just got mine yesterday in the mail, so I ISO patched it to NTSC-U. The menu text is completely identical to the original, barring the mention of the Spring Ball in the Morph Ball Bombs article. Having the bonuses of the PAL versions combined with U.S. English text is awesome.

I just landed on Tallon IV. If I see any scan differences, I'll be sure to let you know.

EDIT: Well, I'm pretty sure this is an error on part of the translation patch, but the scan entry for the hive directly above the Incinerator Drone is completely blank. Other than that, still perfectly identical.

SECOND EDIT: The non-logbook scan on the red crystals in Magmoor Caverns is gone. (The one about the monks and the crystals being valuable to them.)

[*]Scan dashing has been removed, possibly to counteract sequence breaking.
[*]Spring Ball from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is intact.
[*]Rapid-fire charge shot from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is intact.
[*]Scan for the Barbed War Wasp hive above the Incinerator Drone returns a blank message. (Could be a fault of the ISO patch.)
[*]Flaahgra's music now plays properly.
[*]Scan points on red crystals in Magmoor Caverns have been removed.
[*]Baby Sheegoths' shells are twice as strong as normal.
[*]Flying Pirate confrontation at the Frigate Crash Site can be avoided by shutting the door and re-opening it after alerting them.
[*]Ice Beam has new particle effects.
[*]Arm cannon is no longer covered in ice as Ice Beam charges.
[*]Jelzap vacuum speed has been significantly increased.
[*]Aqua Reaper AI has been significantly improved.
[*]Grapple Beam acquisition cutscene has been replaced.
[*]Phazon Suit acquisition cutscene has been replaced.

Keep in mind that I'm only just now heading to the Phazon Mines to get the Power Bombs. (Intended route.)
