Here's nate wearing the TBJ Diagram shirt!!:

And here I am in the same shirt!:

Please note that the shadow effect on the letters is due to camera movement and is not actually there.

We're also taking suggestions for other products, but remember, we want to keep things simple and minimalist.

Same here... no credit card :( I would probably buy the shirt if I could.

Nice work!

Now, I got into concert choir this year, which is an elite chorus in my school. They wear green robes because thats our school colors. If I was still in Chorus, I would have bought a tie to wear and taken pix because we wear dress shirt, pants, tie. CC only wears green robes

You are funny. A credit card is not really common in Europe. I don't have one nor do my parents. And paypal requires a credit card. :(

Can you get anything that can act like a credit card? I've seen cards that you  can topup in shops.

Translation: You don't want Nintendo lawsuits up your bomb slot.  I have the same problem merchandising my site, which is why I've never gotten around to it.

The TBJ diagram is a very clever workaround.  (Didn't Saber animate it for an avatar once?  That should be on the TBJ explanation page.  It's too cool not to have around anymore.)

Is the site making anything off these?  If so, how much?  I hear you can only make the most trifling amounts through Cafepress-like sites.

That's not really the reason for the minimalist view (minimalist is just how m2k2 is), but yes, we certainly don't want lawsuits. Not that we honestly think Nintendo would care, but it's always good to be on the safe side; therefore, we will not put the word "Metroid" on any of our merchandise.

If you mean I should put Saber's .gif on the page itself, I don't think that can be done (doesn't support images, just plain text). I'll have a look, though.

I have no idea how much the site makes off these. I'm sure it's anywhere from 25-100%, just like any other business. ;P

You know though, I think that we could technically use the metroid prime logo that appears on the frontpage because of the fair use policy, which in a nutshell means that if you use something that is copywrited but aren't stealing profits you can legally use it. Since we wouldn't be stealing profit since there are no cool shirts that nintendo sell with just the metroid prime logo on it.

I think we should throw that up for discussion. And technically, because the main m2k2 logo is a 'parody' or sorts of the metroid prime logo, this may come into play. Just my two cents, I'd love to have the actual mk2k logo on a shirt.

ive seen people with MP shirts, with just the MP logo.  It didn't look particularly good though (maybe it was just the person who was wearing it, but w/e).

and since it is a "parody", you dont need to worry about copyright.  Weird Al certainly doesn't.

Sorry, it's not up for debate. We're not risking anything like that. As far as I'm concerned, "m2k2" in Courier is the site logo.

Ah. Our goal was to make zero profit from all merchandise in order to keep the costs as low as possible (we're not doing this to make money, just to give people cool shirts and other shit); however, Zazzle doesn't allow you to not make money. About two dollars are made from each shirt sold-- I don't know about the other items, as none of yet been sold-- and when enough profit is earned, I will be donating it to the site.
