How do you access the terminal in the room "Travel to the Federation Landing Site" in Bryyo? I've killed all the enemies and activated the lift and collected the energy cell. But what do I do now? I know I need to upgrade my ship to open up the huge gate in the other part of the world. All help appreciated. :)

there is a federation facility towards the middle of Bryyo and you can access it from the first landing point, but the fedaration tells you this after you finish the previous objective. I can't remember exactly what that is but how far have you gotten at the third landing point? (the second being the one with the big wall that you have to have your ship bomb)

I think you may have to find the ice hunter and then the federation will radio about their abandoned facility.

your spoiler tag is broken

also

you need to find the hidden morphball tunnel back up the hill a bit to get to the snatchers.

In case you haven't figured it out yet,
you first have to get your ship in the room. make your way to the top of the room (grapple-pull a platform, go through a morph ball maze and use the computer up top) Once the ship is in the room, use the middle button on the terminal beside the ship. This will upgrade your ship.

If you are stuck in the "Grand Court" room, with a big broken golem,
you have to move to the next room (there's a big gap you can't space jump across). There, you will find a rock you can blow up to reveal a morph ball tunnel. Use your scan visor and you'll easily find where it is (just down the big "steps")

I finally managed to get stuck later on in the game:

I'm at the Pirate Homeworld, and the Federation are ready to attack and need me to take down the defense grid. The problem? I can't get into the room they want me to do this in. It has a morph ball tunnel running through it and a green door that looks to be the way in, but I don't have what I expect is the Nova Beam to get past it. Since the game hasn't pointed me towards the Nova Beam yet, I assume that I'm not supposed to have it at this point, so I can't figure out the way in and I've checked everywhere I can think of and everything I can think of with no luck.

Umm, I am pretty stuck here.
Just killed the ice hunter and found the first generator. Then the Feds called me and told me about their old station on Bryyo.

However, I decided to check out an ice door back at Bryyo's first landing site, and after grabbing the expansion behind it, I found out I was stuck. I just can't see to find a way to get to the
Federation Landing Site.

It won't allow me to land there on the map, and the only other direct route to I could think of is through that crashed Fed ship, but that has a door that can't be opened! Am I just missing something, cause I have spent like 30-40 minutes wandering around and trying to find a way there? Help!

if you start at the first landing point and continue south you should arrive at the hanger, you should have everything you need, sorry I can't be more help.

But then anyone who wants help early in the game gets later parts spoiled...

Weeeeeeeell, here I see spoiler tags as still being good things. You might want a hint for something early in the game, and if someone's asked about a later event and someone else has replied, you may not want to read about it.

That's my two cents, which actually means a bit more than it used to. Yay for exchange rates.

Embarassed  I can't believe how stupid I was... Embarassed

I missed a hole in the wall in the mining area and that I could access the control panel I had been trying to get to on previous attempts at that room. Lead me straight to the item I was looking for, which let me access the area I asked for help with.

But the best part is that I eventually figured it out on my own. Corruption hasn't beaten me just yet! grin new

And the only reason I put my question into spoilers is for the exact reason that Dazuro and Hejira just mentioned.

i'm in Bryyo, stuck in the hillside vista and grand court. I cant get out of the vista the way I came, and there's a gap too wide to cross (with a grapple point that I cant use). I cant go forward and I can't go back. How do I get out of here?

To Tahngarthor:

That one took me a while too, stopped me for about ten minutes...

What you need to do is look around the steps for an opening, and go morph ballin'. If there is a rock that looks out of place, just morph bomb it.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I probably just missed something the first time. Heh, playing this game without a guide is pretty fun, as I have to use my old Metroid skills to figure stuff out.

I just got to the pirate homeworld but I am stuck. the second level on the elevator has a room that is blocked by a huge aparatus. Then on the third floor if you go out you get killed by acid rain. It tells me to go to some lab but I can't get there. Any hints?

Check around the third floor in that main room, there's a small ledge leading to a morph ball tunnel nearby if I remember. I think it has the green ledge indicator on it.

Anyone got a list of the energy cores in the game? I can get into the main power room on Valhalla (near the part where you need the seekers to open the door), but I only have 1 energy core left at best :(

Also, where do you get the battery in Byrro? Is it the item you lift near the turrets on the other side of Byrro? And if it is, how in HELL do I get it back to that room where the battery is needed?

We are both talking about the room that is right after a Transit Station, correct? The one that has a big mining drill in one of the upper corners if you scan around?

If so, on one of the walls you may have noticed a control panel that you can scan but can't access, correct? The wall looks like it there could be three glass windows across it, and the one on the far right is missing. All you have to do is walk through it and you can get to that control panel and use the mining drill to make a path for you.

It's not a morph ball tunnel like I may have suggested, looking back at what I said. It's a big enough opening that Samus can walk straight through it, and I have no idea how both of us apparently missed it for so long.

And as far as I can remember, the Energy Cells are as follows:

1 - Docking Bay 5, GFS Valhalla: You have to look near the downed fighter and it's on the ground, unlike the others.

2 - Federation Landing Site, Bryyo: It's up high in a control room behind the ship: Go up the elevator through a morph ball tunnel and you'll find it. (First one I found)

4 - Hidden Court, Bryyo: There's this huge statue in that room, and way up high above the grapple point is the cell inside of it. It looks like we have to drop something in front of it in order to access it, because this is the only one I couldn't get.

5 - Xenoresearch Area, Elysia: (STORY) Collect before accessing Seekers

? - Elysia: In the room where you get the Boost Ball. Two Grapple panels are on one of the walls, and you need to pull on them to open up the area with the Cell.

? - Reactor Core B, Norion: You fight a Metroid Hatcher here, and after defeating it you gain access to the Cell. This is the reactor that Rundus takes out in the beginning of the game.

I can't remember off the top of my head where the other three are, but I know one or two of them are part of the story and are gotten as part of puzzles. There's at least one on the Pirate Homeworld, and I'd say another on Elysia but I can't be sure. Would have to load up the game to refresh my memory as to where they actually are.

And the tokens don't count towards the percentage: They just unlock bonus content outside of the game.
