Okay, back on topic. I've been trying out Lufia II, and have made it past that shrine near the mountains to that one kingdom (forgot the name, I'll check later). It seems like a pretty good game so far; lots of neat puzzle solving in the dungeons.

It's a game where you're this chick who has a massive debt to pay off thanks to your asshole dad. You pay off the debt by opening and running a store, and theres also some RPG/dungeon crawling elements in it too.
Theres a free demo on steam, it can run on pretty much everything. It won't appeal to everyone but I think it's really worth it to at least try the demo.
